  1. I’d love to be a fly on the wall during a trade like this. I don’t know Stevie Y gets get away with it. Lol LGRW

  2. So what will Yzerman do with 3 goalies, Cossa, Brattstrom and Olkinuora? I figured Olkinuora would be the back up.

  3. yzerman drafted the best goalie in the league at Tampa he also drafted kucherov and many big names y’all trippin yzermans making a dynasty rn he’s making big moves just trust him and enjoy the show like Tampa did

  4. Headline prediction: Yzerman Arrested for Multiple Cases of Grand Theft Goaltender

  5. As a Wings fan, I love Stevie's trades as they always seem like we're robbing the opposing team just as the Rays do in the MLB.

  6. man this just gets better by the minute is almost impossible to believe lol everybody talking 3-5 years for this club is hilarious to say the least lol this teams gonna be dangerous to play against this coming season let alone yrs from now bet on it 🤷‍♂️🤔👍

  7. Uh oh. Got a real funny feeling about this one and I hope I'm wrong. As an ex-goalie I never liked his butterfly and how many "through him" (5,6,7 hole) goals he gives up. Young, more upside than Greiss, but his playoff performance was weak. Now we have a 1A and 1B competition with Ned the next 3 years. Hope the new goalie coach can help him reach his potential and we end those blowout losses that demoralize everyone.

  8. Blues traded the better of their two goalies, would’ve been hard to trade wacko Binningtons bad contract though.

  9. Hopefully are defence improves next year, cause Alex was left to die out there, 40 shots a game on average

  10. I think Yzerman really wants to let Cossa develop so having two solid enough goalies so that Ned isn't getting overworked will hopefully let the team develop/focus in other areas so that when the next franchise goalie comes up team will be ready

  11. The trade was for the signing rights. He was going to free agency otherwise.. so it wasn't a fleece 😆 Yzerman still had to make a deal with him. Luckily, it looks like he wanted out of st Louis, so the timing was perfect

  12. Love it he leting ned get some rest and letting cossa develop is good if the do a good one 2 punch if he get a 900 or over it a win

  13. It's amazing that other NHL teams around the league can acquire defenseman but the Blues can't? How long are the Blues going to carry that Marco Scandella not so good contract around? Were is our new top 2 or 4 defenseman that we desperately need! The Blues championship win now window is closing fast! And Charlie Lindgren becomes a free agent Wed? Other teams are seeking his services but the Blues wouldn't play Charlie 1 period in the playoffs after going 5-0 when he was here with a 1.22 gaa and a 958 save pct? Charlie helped the Thunderbirds make the Calder Cup this year! Don't you think Charlie deserves to be atleast a backup to Binner? Let's honor Tarasenko's trade request and let him go he earned it!

  14. Guys I’m a diehard wings fan I love Stevie as much as the next guy, but we did not “fleece” this trade. The blues got a 3rd round pick for a guy who was gonna walk in free agency anyway lol. Good trade for both teams

  15. Don't know much about Husso, but if Yzerman says this kid is good enough to play for him then I'm in! Steve is here to win a cup. And I'm sure he learned very much from Bowman.

  16. Husso was going to be a free agent in few days, so it's not really a steal like some people say. But the goalie market is so thin this year, I think it was worth it to make sure you get your guy. Three year deal is perfect at this point. Cap hit doesn't matter.

  17. Doug Armstrong got the better value in this trade. A high 3rd for negotiating rights for an UFA is great value. Especially since Husso was not going to be resigned anyways

  18. As a Finn, I should be happy that Husso is moving to the Red Wings, but I'm not and there is a clear reason for that.. and that is that Husso can't stand the mental pressure when the importance of the matches increases..I've been following Husson's games for years and it's always the same thing that his playing level collapses in important matches such as the playoffs or the national team..

  19. Lol Stevie Y stock piling goalies and dubas still hasn’t got a starting goalie , my guess is signing the Zamboni driver that beat them a few years ago lol

  20. Husso had a good regular season for the Blues, which was good for them because Binnington had a poor regular season. Then just at the end of the year Binnington regained his 2019 Cup season form. The Blues in the first round would have lost to Minnesota with Husso plaing mediocre at best, so then Binnington takes over and not only do they beat the Wild but are also positioned well to best the Avs, since Binnington is the real MVP of that 2019 Blues team and especially in game 7 versus Boston in the Finals. The Blues were likely the team to best the Avs this year with no disrespect to the Avs but because Binnington who is so steaky is again playing like in 2019 regardless of what you think of the Kadri hit. Husso did help the Blues make the playoffs, and hopefully experience will help him for future playoff competition.

  21. As a Detroit fan I love this move both goalies are young this gives them time to develop Cossa I read an article saying he maybe in Grand Rapids this season I wonder if they'll 3rd string him and possibly swap him out on occasion with the goalie the Griffins just signed as they split time in Toledo between the 2 of them

  22. Great get for a “that’s it?” price. Though I’m really hoping to get another top line defenseman in free agency along with some improved coaching strategy for next year – it’s tough to tell how good your goalies are when they’re constantly being left out to dry

  23. As a blues fan Husso played good in the on season but without binnington we wouldn’t have beat wild

  24. I think Husso will prosper in Detroit. He stepped up hard for my blues and I appreciate what he did. The wings will be a hard team to play against in the next couple years

  25. With the red wings not all hurt and with a beast of a goalie in regular season the red wings are gonna be disgusting and will easily take a playoff spot

  26. Am I wrong for thinking that this is an example of, okay, he's in his prime – 27 yet Blues could keep him as backup to Binnner for 'ONLY'' cheap price of 750K per year vs what Wings are paying and possibly make a deal with another team BEFORE season ends or trade deadline. Otherwords, use this guy up and get what you can – we drafted him! Many players have career years in LAST contract season!!
