    All we have to do for the rest of the season is score 4 goals in the first period, AND make sure the opposing coach pulls their goalie.

    Then we win.

    That’s all we have to do!

    Crazy game and the kraken did a ton of positive things today, but I want to call out a negative –

    Defensive zone exits and clears were awful, especially in the 2nd period and it gave Nashville chances to get back in the game. so many clearing attempts with half effort or directed right into a Preds player for a turnover.

    On the plus side, the defense limited Nashville’s ability to generate good chances with that extended zone time. A more talented team could have and so this should be a learning moment.

    That said, it feels awesome to have a nice 5 game win streak going. This team is so much better than last season. And JONES was a beast again, shutting down any hope Nashville had to make it interesting and only giving up the breakaway goal.

    Outside of Forsberg making an incredible play, defense locked them down and helped jones out a ton. We had some trouble getting out of the zone and the were lucky Nashville couldn’t take advantage!

    5 IN A ROW BABY LETS GO!!

    Gonna be interesting to see how Gru or Driedger are implemented coming back into the lineup.

    Jones is playing super well right now. Load managing him is going to be important.

    Frankly, it’s a nice change of pace to have a goal tender above 900 for some amount of games in a row.
