The score was 1-0 with Lankinen, so we won the game. Thanks Kraken for easy W

Forsberg said a deciding factor to re-sign with us was because we were building a competitive roster. Sorry Fil, Hynes would rather throw out bottom 6 AHL players than build an actual NHL roster. Fire Hynes. Play Tolvanen and Glass. Bring up Tomasino and Parssinen. Does the 4th line even do anything??

if you can’t score on Martin Jones you just might be a fundamentally unserious athletic club

You ever have a friend growing up who would invite you to come hang out and then you’d spend the entire time just watching them play a video game, and then at some point you think « why do I keep coming over here? This is boring and its like this every time. »? Preds are that friend.

Bad game. While Saros was bad, the turnovers and terrible play in the neutral zone are a recurring problem for this team. Something has to change, and almost all of us know of at least one person who could be the best candidate.

Stayed up too late to gives these notes:

As far as I can tell, we play about the same offensive system as Seattle. Dump, retrieve, cycle around the boards, look for the open man on the point or in the high slot and hit them for a shot. It’s a similar version to what Lavi coached. The problem is Seattle was much better at it than us. They are also better at defending it.

This team needs to be playing from the rush and highlighting skill. The only goal we scored was a breakaway. We can score like that if we want – we just don’t emphasize that.

Our defense is a clear problem. So bad.

Speaking of bad. Did you know that Glass, Tolvanen and Tomasino are all out of this game? Meanwhile Smith, Jankowski, Gross, McCarron, and Sanford are on the fucking team.

Finally – the stats are fucking awful for this game. Wanna see the top lines breakdowns? Brace yourself:

    Jeannot, Jankowski, Trenin – 10:06
    Smith, Sissons, McCarron – 9:21
    Forsberg, Granlund, Duchene – 8:40
    Forsberg, Johansen, Niederreiter – 4:45
    Sanford, Granlund, Duchene – 4:37

Ever wonder why the AHLers succeed on our team? It’s because we set up like AHLers and they’re rewarded for playing to their ability.

If Poile would give us a sign that we’re going for Bedard I would delete this right now. But I know we’ll pull out of it and end up middle of the pack again.

I think I just became one of those « those » Predator fans. Apologies in advance.

I live on the east coast and don’t know a single Seattle kraken fan, but I’m embarrassed to have to show my face in public tomorrow after tonight.

Let’s hope this will light a fire under their asses. Even during this awful game, there were flashes of brilliance. If they can play a full 60 minutes of hockey, they may be able to compete against the Avalanche tomorrow.
