How can the islanders keep getting away with it? They play bad in the second period to go down then play fantastic in the third period to come back and win! Two games in a row they were down 3-1 heading into the third period and they came back and win. This is incredible to watch.
Also for you ranger fans saying that was a tripping call let's not forget that if I remember correctly you guys had FOUR power plays in the second period and another one in the first. You guys really had the chance to blow the game open and not even give the Islanders a chance to come back. Yet here we are. Let's go Islanders!
Wow, another great period by the Islanders. Not sure how long they can keep this going, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Also anyone else think the "trip" on the 4th goal seemed a bit soft? After watching the replay I can kind of understand the non-call, and think the ref may have thought the Rangers player juts went down too easily. Hard to know for sure I guess.
Another night and another multi goal 3rd period comeback against a good team with a win at the end! I can’t remember the Isles having even one of these types of wins even once last year, let alone two in three days!
Islanders keep impressing. I can’t believe the team that I’m seeing. They had so much untapped potential and what seems like a whole lot more potential still to find in themselves. It’s still early but i am impressed at the hockey they’re playing. Trotz was a phenomenal coach for them but I thought under him it was as good as they got. I was wrong apparently Lambert is tapping into something for sure.

Isles look scary
As an Islanders fan, there should have been a trip on that GWG.
That being said, you can't blame reffing on the other two. Islanders are a different beast in the third.

We use to play 1 of 3 periods. Now we play 2 of 3. Watch out league. Rangers will play all 3 periods, eventually! Go Rangers!! 🙂
