The reffing in this game was outrageous. 2 missed icing calls that could have been dangerous. The whole point of icing calls to prevent these races to the puck. The oil gutted this one out for sure with late arrival and second game in 2 nights.
Campbell played well. The team played well all around. Scary moment with Kane for sure. Jesse was shooting more. He will eventually score. Hyman’s distinct kicking motion was getting his footing while being held up. Hoping for Kane to get a speedy recovery. Keep the vids rolling.
Huge win for us tonight, just hope Evander is ok and will have a speedy recovery, if he’s out for at least a month, we’ll need to put him on LTIR and bring up someone like Matthias Janmark in the interim. Hopefully Campbell’s performance today is a stepping stone, I would give him the start on Thursday in Raleigh against the canes to see if he can build on today
Best wishes to Evander Kane – not only could that cut have threatened his life, it could have ended his career if it cut his wrist tendons. … The Oilers lose not only a gutsy player and goal scorer, but also a large amount of team toughness with his injury. … They will miss this guy’s swagger, skill and intimidation factor very much.
Lucky to get out of Tampa with a win, the Bolts missed wide open net after wide open net, big game from Campbell and the PK and PP. Glad to hear Kane is stable not going as far to say ok until we find out how long he's going to be out, looking at the amount of blood there was instantly it at very least cut the vain here's hoping it didn't cut a tendon if so he's going to be out a while. The only positive is if he's out longterm gives the Oil cap space to run with a full 23 man roster and giving the coaching staff a few extra forward to work into the botton 6 as it's still a weak point. We should also see Holloway back in the top 9 if not send him down which he might need anyways to get his confidence back and call up 1 of the vets to fill that fourth line roll.
