This ownership is childish and runs the franchise as such.
there is no dysfunction.. its a poorly constructed team with contracts on defence that cannot be unloaded over night.. how much to move OEL's contract?.. multiple firsts? how much to move Myers contract last offseason? a first? canucks clearly have shown that they can score.. just not at the level that can outscore opponents on a frequent basis..

i was wondering why boudreau sat burroughs and rathbone who aren't playing that bad and had stillman in who is not doing very well right now and i think i know why. JR and alvin brought stillman in just recently and boudreau is saying "i'm not doing my job very well?"

Could better structure have meant 4 more wins? Considering they blew all those leads, it could be argued yes. At least in the 3rd period structure would have made a big difference.

Look at what Trotz did to the Islanders when he took over. He took a team who was lousy defensively and turn them instantly into a contender by having all players play to his system. The players and defense they had were awful the previous season. But they played with structure after Trotz took over. He brought the same structure from the Capitals to the Islanders and succeed for a couple of seasons. Unfortunately, they could get past the high power offenses in the Eastern Divisions with Superstars on their teams. Rutherford will fix the Canucks but nothing is instant. Not even bringing in a top 4 right-shot defenceman if you don't play with structure.
Im glad to see some conflict in this organization. Something needs to set the fire to make some serious change. This team has been bottom-mid tier for far too long.
