so Michael Rasmussin gets 2 games because he "injured" a player on an inadvertent high-stick and at the same time a player with a high stick with intent to potentially injure a player gets 1 game? but we are told Rasmussin gets extra time because of an injury?? and then Luff gets smoked with a Kris Draper type boarding that has him out 8-10 weeks out of the lineup at a critical point in his career and Slafkosky gets 2 GAMES???? same as Rasmussin??? 2 freakin games?? are you kidding me?? are there seriously clowns running the show??? somebody try to justify THIS one please….
Ahhh Larkin messed up and Soder messed up. Still was fun… Growing pains
#1. The NHL needs to update the padding requirements with all the blocked shots injuring players around the league. #2. Red wings need to practice 4 goalies and trade out 2 every few minutes to practice the shoot outs. They need to have more than the 6 Newsy counts on if Czarnik is getting only 1 game and getting a goal when the lead scorers are shooting blanks. #3. The red wings need to stop collapsing like they're on a PK when their even strength in their own zone. Be aggressive and finish the hits. Control the boards in your end. Stop trying to clear your zone by sending the puck directly to the opposing team.
The NHL safety commission is a joke. They're all clowns and honestly a 3yo could do better. Even I could do better. The problem is its a systemic thing with the NHL. They are paid to not care. Make them accountable or this WILL continue.
Here's my #1 Rule: If a player injures another player they are not allowed to play until at least 1 game after the injured player comes back. Problem solved, elect me to the commission.
Seider talk at 31:48 Defense wise shooting for deflections is key. Saying that Nicholas Lidstroms slap shot from the blue line was epic and left all kinds of rebounds when it was blocked. If the wings shoot hard from the blue line rebounds will be plentiful. Some will not be seen by the goalies as well.
NHL has made it pretty clear they ain't doing much at all about these hits. Solve it on the ice fellas.
Thought about when a suspension was too long, look at Dylan Larkin on Joseph….

NHL suspensions are and always will be levied with implications to star power. The Malkin Crosby run at Zetterberg in 2009 should have been a 1 game suspension, but it was the SCF, so instead nothing happened as NHLinc. wants those players back on the ice. Juraj well deserved a 4 to 6 game suspension, but they did not want to start him out on that sort of tier of discipline on his record for marketing reasons.
