After the underhanded shenanigans, the bragging of being over the cap and that clown Kucherov in the press gathering after winning the last Cup my sympathy for the Bolts is less than zero. Looks good on them, the better team won.

As a Maple Leafs fan, this makes me happy.
I'm not sure which was more satisfying, seeing the Avs win the Cup or seeing the tantrum that Tampa had before, during, and after. (If you couldn't already tell, I hate the Bolts)

I'm not saying I condone their actions BUT I get it. This comment section is exactly why they acted the way they did: absolutely 0 respect for what they've accomplished. "COVID Cups, $18M over the cap, cheaters, etc." I don't like them but that team is one of the greatest teams of all-time and yet no one acknowledges them. These past 3 years they've played 68 postseason games. 21-2 following a loss in the playoffs. Only faced elimination 3 times (out of 68 games) in 3 years. Just insane numbers in the cap-era. They made it to a Stanley Cup Final without their top center. And the sad thing is…they'll probably still be in the ECF next year and might win more Cups considering their best players haven't even turned 30 yet.

I think it backfired on them. They wasted so much time and energy trying to pressure the officials to call things in their favor, while Colorado just put their nose to the grindstone and went to work shift after shift. It kind of reminded me of the first fight in Rocky 3.
