When Z went down, I was expecting the worst. It didn’t look good at all from the stands. Also, what the heck happened to Nick? He looked like he was skating with no issues and without the slightest hint of anything being wrong
So Gavrikov is okay after all? Guess that’s one positive takeaway at least lol
Is Blankenburg’s injury at all related to the cheap-looking shot he took near the end of the game? I remember him grabbing at his face a bit, so the broken ankle really surprised me.

Choosing to see the silver lining here. The Jackets are going to have over $10 mil in cap space at a trade deadline when the league is probably more cap crunched than it has ever been before with an extremely high potential draft coming. Time for Jarmo to work some magic and get some damn good deals done.

So stupid to burn a year off of Jiriceks ELC. Keep him down in Cleveland to develop and sign a shitty veteran. The longer jiricek is on a cheap contract the easier it is to buy out gudbranson in a year or two
