The quote was so long I had to cut, snip and paraphrase it to fit under 300 Characters. Please read the article, other quotes in there as well.

    .

Edit: I realize the snippet “*hate talking publicly about things we need to fix, but we have to until we can get it fixed.* » Could be misconstrued to mean that he wants to keep talking publicly about their issues until it is fixed.

This is the full quote: “I hate talking publicly about things we need to fix, but we have to ***hammer away at that*** until we can get it fixed. »

    > ‘Until they start simplifying their game, we don’t totally know what we have. And that’s what we’re hoping to see and then it’s easier to make decisions.’
    >

I think « their game » is simple enough already. They’re trying to play hockey but they are really bad at it.

It’s in The Athletic but the Canucks are extremely slow at getting out of their own end. They give too much time to the opposing team to reset.

There were tons of nuggets in this article. More talk of making the players more accountable and how they need to do the little things right.

He did have praise for Horvat and Pettersson which is nice.

People are upset Allvin hasn’t made the big trade to get that coveted RHD and think it’s GM mode where you can just pop off on a trade at anytime. They constantly say they need to fix the back end and it’s not easy.

That frustrates a lot of us because we have seen different versions of the same shit show for a decade with playoff appearances that demonstrate we had no business being a playoff team.

You hope the right move gets put together sooner or later to give us faith. I like most of the peripheral moves we have done, but the core still needs to be built and we have yet to see a move in that area beyond extending Miller.

Again you’re saying the right things on the one hand, but on the other you’re signing an aging Miller instead of bolstering our team with young talent.

Actions speak louder than words, and right now the hypocrisy is deafening.
