None of our key players can put the puck in the net since game one, that's why we can't win winnable games. Not sold on Maurice, he has more losses than wins. Not a smart choice on Zito's side. To lose Balsers also a bad move. He could find a better option. Still don't like what I'm seeing so far.
I was at the game and the amount of passing and terrible passing I saw was ridiculous. It's like it takes the team half the game to figure out to shoot it instead of passing it in the slot to someone who has 3 guys on him. Let them rip it from the point, rebound, and behold a goal. I really do not understand the whole teams pass first mindset it is awful. First period was very good and then the D got sloppy and ugh.

Barkov lost us this game … he tried that fancy between-the-legs pass to no one with two defenders on him annnnnd , surprise surprise, Edmonton scored on play to put them up 3-1. We would have most likely gotten the game to OT.
yah, u are correct about Ekblad… and most of ur points for that matter!! I dunno why Barky made some of those passes where he really could shoot! A lot of those penalties called on us would not have been has our team had McDavid on it. Lets bounce back next game.!!!!

We can't panic. I think Ekblad is just working off some rust and the rest of the team is adjusting to playing with him again, also the Oilers are a solid squad – Draisatl killed us with his assists on the game winner late in the third. Knight wasn't stopping that one.
I like Ekblad, and it is his first game back, but…we could use the picks and the cap relief. I wouldn’t do it till the offseason tho
