All about confidence, what were the fans not bitching about Foegele's skating….the guy can skate, i still remember one of his goals last season when he dangled around 4 guys only to score.
Now, he reminded himself enough times, how of a hockey player he is, no reason, why he can't keep it going now.
well, the 2:3 was a great goal from the Florida guys, apart from bennett always decapitating Kulak as he fell down after the goal…
This is a bad joke. Win or no, without Skinner this is just another blowout. A team that acts like they are entitled to wins just for being Talented. Woody says "we stuck with it for the full 60 mins"… That's delusional. Wow… Shots were 10-0 at one point?? The best 2 notes in this tune are Skinner and Fog. Fog has decided Enough is Enough! and took a proper attitude of get to work, stop doubting yourself and play like this is the last chance your ever gona have, stay within your limits, and you WILL find success. It would be better for them for go on a brutal 7 game losing streak and Wake TFU then win a stinker like this and claim they put in a solid effort. No they didn't, not even close.
The Oilers won because of a fantastic game by Skinner. 42 shots is not a turnaround. If they allow the on and off circus in their end of the ice like they've been allowing, then next week will be a tough week against L.A. and, especially, against Vegas.
I guess we found draisaitl left wing in Foegle!…hope he keeps up the good work!…I was able to watch this game cause skinner was in goal!…I don’t have a heart attack every time the other team takes a shot!

…gotta admit that, after the last stinker, I was desperately searching for the PANIC BUTTON. I am not sure I should stop looking for it. The OIL allowed FL to blast rocket after rocket from the "ladiies tees" at Skinner all night. Without KANE, invisible 13 and goaless 56 this team will not be able to ourscore their mistakes. They will have to compensate through "Team Defense". Tonight that needed "Team Defense" consisted mostly of SKINNER alone againt a pretty unlucky Florida squad. This is not a recipe for future success.

The new guys highlight how greedy Puljujarvi & Yama were…. vs what can get for $1mil… Also highlights Holland weakness in overpaying a lot of guys (Foeg Kassi etc) that only produced at times & only due to being paired w McD.

Campbell… if he was that good, would Toronto have gotten rid of him?? Don’t think so. Hopefully though, he turns it around. On another note, David you mentioned Puljujarvi should get a chance on the penalty kill but did you notice at the end of the game when the Panthers pulled their goal tender to make it a 6 on 5, Puljujärvi was out there and was instrumental in the Oilers final goal.
Stick with Skinner. Not sure what to do with Campbell, but he needs time to "recover".
Holloway’s still got a long way to go. Maybe by the end of the season he’ll learn enough to eliminate those rookies mistakes?
Great game by Skinner! Panthers could have easily won if goaltending was even. Really concerning to see the way the oilers turn pucks over. I think lots of oilers make poor decisions and telegraph their passes. Keep it safe and simple people.
nice to see a matinee win! slow start again but skinner bailed them out, i liked klostins game as well, thought he played a simple north/south game which the oilers need more of.
While I like the prospect of mcdavid scoring short handed, I’m not a fan of one guy playing pp, pk, and an eternity of 5v5 each game. He will wear out. He needs more help!!
JP does a good thing every once in a while but for the number of times he hustles like a St. Bernard or maneuvers like a Heron, he's the sum total of a freaking albatross!!

Bruce – I remember fondly all the short-handed goals by the Oilers in the 1980s. As I recall there was a running joke at the time that when the Oilers were penalized, maybe the other team should be given the option to decline the penalty.
I hope Holland sends Holloway down to AHL, it is clear he is not ready for the NHL and it is not helping to have him play less than 10 mins a night.

Nice win when you need one….. the Panthers are not the same team as last season…. chemistry is still a work in progress….Oilers allow more shots than 30 teams in the NHl…. IF Skinner gets injured this team is in serious trouble..
