That was this entire fanbase lol. The calls to resign JT rather than deal him were wild. Maybe it was media more than fans, but the exceptions for the return were unrealistically high. Had Jim traded JT it would have been received very poorly imo.

As funny as this is… Horvat (and/or his agent) is asking for over 9M not 7.5

A question I’d ask if im a reporter is how the hell do you focus on Miller more than our captain who might be leaving.
What a mess they’ve made. Big mistake of keeping JT.

Everyone wanted to see a blue chip player in the return for Miller. I believe it was Sat who was suggesting they would have done Schneider for Miller 1-1 but it never got offered. Reported offer was Lundkvist/Chytil/1st. Majority of fans thought that was underwhelming.
Then the talk shifted to them re-signing JT, his deal was projected to be in the mid-50’s. Contract got signed and it seemed like most acknowledged the contract was in line with fair market value.
A month ago, the narrative was JT > Horvat and Horvat isn’t worth 7M+. A month into the season, and that narrative has done a 180.

2 best players on the roster are well worth those numbers.
