Ilya Samsonov is taking part in Leafs practice today for the first time since his injury. He’s one of four goalies — Matt Murray, Erik Kallgren, and Keith Petruzzelli — on the ice.
I feel like Kerfoot causes problems in the lineup. He’s not good enough to be a top 6 winger but too good to be in the bottom 6 as well at his price range
Also at this point Robertson has to be a regular somewhere. He’s getting no consistent linemates/icetime and the AHL isn’t an option either it seems

God we can be so much better if our 5on5 play picks up. Hopefully the line swaps spark that

Kerfoot just keeps getting put in different places as if he’s the answer to our problems, when I think he is our problem.
He hasn’t been able to carve out a role in his tenure here, and being a “Swiss army knife” isn’t a role. Much less so when he have some of the highest end offensive talent in the league.
I’d like to see Jarnkrok or even ZAR on that second line in replacement. Hell, even call up Gaudette, Steeves, or Andersen and see what we have in any of them.

I was hoping for Engvall up the middle, and keeping Robertson in, but some rotation might be helpful.

I’m pleasantly surprised that Keefe isn’t going right back to Matthews-Marner

I’m glad Matthews-Nylander and Tavares-Marner are staying together for now. Saturday was the best chemistry I’ve seen from the top six forward group all season. They were finding each other, generating off the rush, and sustaining offensive zone pressure

Put Kerfoot with Engvall in the bottom six. He’s clearly shown this season he isn’t a top six player. Jarnkrok deserves a shot with Tavares.

I would like to see malgin get a try on the second line
