@Islanders de New York

» https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/35025563/johnny-gaudreau-focused-positives-columbus

    Honestly was embarrassed being there Saturday night when they were booing. I love this team more than anything but man, as fans we can be absolute morons.

    That or he only spoke with his agent.

    But I’ll believe Lou never reached out. It was all speculation drummed up by the media bc it would have made sense for us on the ice. But it made zero sense with the cap so idk why we all fell for it.

    Fucking knew it. Let’s be honest signing big free agents rarely work out and he wasn’t a fit for our team cap wise

    Let’s be honest – any free agent or trade rumor under Lou’s tenure comes with a giant grain of salt unless the signing/trade actually happens. It’s possible Lou had an agreement with the agent not to dispel rumors as the agent tried to get more money out of CBJ or whoever.

    Im sure the agent threw it out there to use as leverage in negotiations. A lot easier when it looks like they’ll be a bidding war.
    It’s a little different with JT, but he was booed when he played in San José as a member of the laughs.

    At least this nails the coffin of not trusting any hockey media.
