I feel like this is something that's shown up with the team often this year in the defensive zone. I'd describe it as flat footed… guys just not moving their feet like they've got nothing to attend to and that's never the case in hockey. It also doesn't align with what Sullivan is saying about egregious breakdowns and recoveries. It looks like a team that either doesn't know clearly what the direction is on defensive strategy or is just unenthusiastic about executing it. Either way, feet need to get moving in the d-zone.

Gotta pick this up. 2 wins in 11 games just isn’t good enough. All Those blown games look worse day by day. I agree the effort has to be put toward a more defensive game, having to outscore your opponent 6+ goal every night isnt a recipe for success.
This doesnt fix much, i do want to see carter on line 4. Poehling-Carter-Archibald would be a good 4th line and teddy with brock and heinin is good all around. Finally put Rackell with Sid again.
