Lambert season
“Appleton has played up and down the lineup” is subjective. I feel he burned 16-minutes a night on a top line he didn’t have the skills to contribute on.
It’s a good thing Ehlers just started skating again this morning. It’s easier for us to replace Appleton on the third line than it is to replace a top 6 forward from within. Eyssimont looks like he can at least hang around on the 4th line if nothing else, and that let’s us promote one of Gagner, Maenalanen, or AJF to the third line with Harkins and Lowry.
Now if we suffer another long term injury in the top 6 like the one Ehlers is just coming back from, that’s when I could see Chevy getting on the phones.
I wouldn’t hold my breath and expect a trade to be coming here.
Let’s get Lambert up on the top line!
