  1. Feels worse this year being a Sens fan, having all this expectations that they at least compete for 1 but no, not at all, guess it serves me right

  2. If I were Muzzin I’d ride out the rest of my contract on LTIR and retire. It’s just not worth it anymore.

  3. 3 years ago they only made playoffs because 24 teams were included in a Stanley Cup tournament. If it was regular 16 team qualification they most likely miss.

  4. Imagine if Bertuzzi only got a $2,500 fine for his sucker punch. Soucy had the exact same intent as him, just different outcomes.

    DoPS is an absolute joke.

  5. Unfortunately Laine has been on the shelf more than he has been on the ice. Is this idea of Conner Bedard becoming a CBJ seems more likely each week.

  6. Wheeler's 300th goal was a serious redemption story. It's no secret his leadership is the reason they failed to make the playoffs last season, they literally took away his captaincy//had to fire a coach to fix the issue. Last night was proof the jets can stay in chase for the cup they won a tough game without Hellybuck and Wheeler can still bail them out when the situation calls for it. It might not mean anything to casual fans but I think in the locker room, this game was the sign they moved on from last season.

  7. That sucker punch was so incredibly egregious though. I feel like a couple of games suspension is more appropriate.

  8. I had to maximize my laptop screen, because I thought Shannon had written "Craig Morgan DEPORTS both Schmaltz and Chychrun." Wow, that's harsh discipline!

  9. muzzin shoulda been LTIR'd 2 years ago but here we are. i get frustrated, as a fan, when something is so obvious to me but i guess muzzin is a popular guy or whatever…kinda like holl. keeping guys for friendship, add that to the leafs' woodchipper list.

  10. So, it sounds like the start is actually mostly irrelevant for the Canucks, because except for 2019-20, even the decent starts led nowhere. It seems like your other point, regarding their inability to handle road trips, and East Coast swings in particular, is the real issue. And seeing as how they're trapped against the cap, may I recommend that the front office install microchips designed to modify behavior as a solution for the apparent laziness of the team…

  11. Hope Muzzin makes a full recovery. Leafs need to make a big move , and trade a big named forward and pick up a Dguy . Easier said than done with the cap and trying to find a dance partner will be challenging.

  12. NHL simply isn't serious about players getting hurt by sucker punches. The players doing it should be thrown out of the league. Period. Wouldn't happen again. Ever.

  13. They weren’t able to revamp the blue line because they re-signed miller and left their captain out to dry. People say oh hindsight he was a 99 point player, well no majority of us knew this was finally the opportunity to not only get assets back and improve our D but avoid a long term commitment to yet another overpaid player that clearly gives no F about defence. This is all on them, they had their chance but doubled down on the offence

  14. So half of Columbus starting line-up is injured, and Texier is out for the season as some may know.
Laine, Danforth, Kuraly, Voracek, Werenski, Boqvist, Blankenburg, Gudbranson.
I haven't found a single website that actually lists all of the injuries in Columbus. Half of those injuries are LTIR as well.

  15. I would have to imagine that’s it for Muzzin. I remember what marner said about he may need to think about his family and put them first as there’s a lot of life outside of hockey. I don’t think players just say that kinda thing without hearing it from the player that’s hurt. I wish nothing but the best for Muzzin, hope he returns but it’s hard to see him coming back as one more hit could cause significant irreversible damage. Going forward, the leafs now have 5.6 million to wheel and deal. See what happens.

  16. Just a quick observation I made yesterday regarding the Canucks…

After tomorrows game in Buffalo they will have played 17 games so far, 11 of those on the road. Of those 11, 8 have been away to the opposite conference before mid November. That’s a brutal schedule to start, especially for a team that notoriously struggles on east coast swings.

Meanwhile, Boston doesn’t play its first out of conference game until Dec 7, game 25 of its season, and that’s only a 3 game trip. So between now and the winter classic (game 37) they only leave the east for 3 games. That’s a gift of a start to the season 👀

  17. As a Leafs fan I like Muzz but he needs to give it up. He has millions and it's just not worth the risk. Hang em up bud, we all know he is a warrior. I am more concerned about Brodie, without him the Leafs no joke have the worst Dcore in hockey. Dubas DO SOMETHING! BTW your Canucks should have dummied Toronto on Sat, WTF happened?

  18. Only Kyle Dumbass would go into a season in 2022 with 1G Matt Murray and 1D Jake Muzzin. 🤣

  19. good show love hearing news on Columbus Winnipeg Toronto and don't know if you have done a show about Leafs blue line ,every year same old story real disappointing offense so good and no complete fix everyone blames coach but i think its gm or ownership of course I've been wrong before

  20. It is unfortunate for my CBJ to be so injured for obvious reasons but also for another reason: it gives the coach an out as to why the team has played so poorly. Not saying Larsen should be fired, but if someone wanted to fire him, now that situation is more murky so to speak.

  21. After watching the whole play, and going off of the character Dubois has shown the this point. I’m not surprised Soucy punched him and I’m sure he’s saying it was well worth the $2500 fine. Cry me a river Dubois

  22. All the sudden Laine is always broken, Jake Muzzin is probably retiring… Cant carry on like this.

  23. Muzzin played a great career, but it’s time for him to hang them up. His health is more important than Hockey.

  24. We need a video reviewing what experienced coaches are available for hiring. I hope Boudreau ends up on a team with upswing potential. He’d be great in the broadcast booth: It’s a matter of time this month.

  25. So basically sucker punching is A OK with the NHL. Like intent to injure. A few bucks. Or a few games. No big deal. Disgusting.
