  1. Idk what the percentage is of the raiders seats are PSLs but according to the raiders website it has been sold out since day 1 . So basically if the entire stadium were available for PSLs they been sold out…

  2. Selling half your tickets a season for baseball is a very successful season from an attendance standpoint

  3. The big test for VGK is when they start to have losing season and how the media portrays that.

  4. What's the As local TV contract?
Seems like sports teams get by fine without fans attending these days.

  5. I'm a vegas Local and I would love a mlb team. Although It needs to be easily accesible with my car. I don't want to wait 2 hours in traffic to get into the stadium.

  6. I'm a new resident to Vegas now living in Summerlin. I've visited few of the Aviator's game, but I'll back off during those really hot days. Also the VGK is a home grown team. Whereas, Raiders and A's is / will be a transplant team so they'll need to build their fan base. I really think the A's will be a tough draw as locals don't want to go to a venue on the strip and the visitors aren't familiar enough to venture out.

  7. A few MLB teams have poor attendance. So if that happened in Vegas, it would be par for the course.

  8. You forgot to mention that the 2 existing facilities are in a dome. Baseball is a summer sport. Summers in Vegas are HOT!!! If a baseball team does start/move to Vegas, it must be an indoor facility (like the Marlins have).

  9. I think a key point you missed was the strength the Raiders had in PSL sales with people willing to purchase seats and the rights to buy tickets for 30 years in Las Vegas.

  10. well … theres alot of golden knights fans that haven't been able to see the knights beacuse they were always sold out.. plus they have the priciest tickets in the NHL…cant wait to score cheaper tickets.

  11. plus t-mobile arena over 15k seats was highest grossing in revenue in the world… because of the knights and because they have a concert every other day… park theater is highest grossing theater under 5k seats in the world… allegiant in #1 now… vegas is a win win.. welcome A's

  12. Avg. seating capacity 42,600 & they only need to draw 25K. MLB TV + Local TV money is a larger revenue stream than ticket sales anyway.

Oakland local TV deal is among the worst in the league. Despite being in a top 10 market, Oakland's share is dwarfed by San Fran plus San Jose, so their TV money would increase in Vegas also.

Oakland is already competing w/ other sports PLUS competing with the city of San Fran in their own market. Unfortunately, Oakland is no longer a major league city. The A's are better off with a transient fan base in Vegas at this point.

  13. Baseball tickets can be sold so many different ways .
    1 packaged up with-your hotel ,
    2 win tickets
    3 street kiosk
Just a few .I would rather spend 3 1/2 hours drinking beer and watching live baseball than spend 1 hr losing money gambling .a great day at the park is when it’s at 65% capacity unless playoffs or opening day

  14. I think you're underestimating how many baseball fans are in Las Vegas. Baseball Is huge out here

  15. A huge factor not being considered that will help the A's in Vegas over Oakland is the lack of people that work a 9-5 M-F (we don't have a normal rush hour). Many people work different shifts here and that should help the afternoon games. Out of the 81 games how many are afternoon games that typically look like a ghost town anyways? That wouldn't be the case here. Another interesting point is the Aviators average a higher attendance than the A's do in Oakland. NBA and MLS will be here within 5-years too, but don't worry, we won't take the Warriors because they already left Oakland.

  16. There has been talk about the Oakland Athletics moving to Las Vegas. The only problem with Vegas are the gambling, the heat in the summer, and the high violent crime rate. Violent crimes in Las Vegas is a lot worse than it is in Oakland now.

  17. My goodness! The Oakland A's minor league team is averaging more fans than the major league team! What's the last time you saw that?

  18. MLB won’t work in Vegas. Too slow. Vegas tourists want action. Baseball can’t deliver that.

  19. Most of MLB stadiums only get 25%
Nobody gets 2.8 million in Baseball unless you are the Yankees and Boston red socks.
Stadiums around the country are empty.

  20. The only reason MLB should take pause with Vagas is Tampa. Tampa supports an NFL team and an NHL team but clearly doesn't support an MLB team. And you can say they aren't good.
