@Sabres de Buffalo

I fully disagree with your claim that the primary problem is goaltending. Fully disagree. Does the goaltending need to be better? Absolutely, but it is not the PRIMARY problem. The primary problem is our absolutely terrible team defense leaving the goalies out to dry. That is our number one problem and the stats show it. Henrik Lundqvst was commenting on this even during our winning streak. It’s not a mere matter that the goalies aren’t getting the big saves.

    That plus our forwards on lines 2, three, and four get trapped on the boards and can’t make plays to attack the net and create quality chances. They are making the same bad plays over and over.

  2. A good defense doesn't stand around watching the opponent score or stick check. It takes time for a defense to gel with the right personnel.

  3. It is so frustrating to see them start good and then fall apart again. I still think they are a .500 type team. But they have to do something about their defense.

  4. Good or bad, they’ve been fun to watch this and last season. That was the first goal of GMKA.

  5. I’ve missed only like 3 games, but I don’t think they’re “bad.” Something really feels different this season, and it’s a definite improvement. It feels more “unfortunate” than “frustrating” this year.

    Despite the losses, it’s been really fun to watch them this year. Last year I was nearly pulling my hair out with how unprofessionally they played, but now I feel some hope.

    We need a goalie who can continuously step up and help the team win some games, even without playing a top-notch team defense.
