Great Video, Keep Em Comming, Tavares does play better with Marner than he Does with Nylander, and Austin played his rookie season with Nylander and had 40 goals so the switch came at a good time for the Leafs. And how about Jordie Benn's Play last night keeping the puck outta the net against Crosby.He has surprised me with his play in the 2 games he has played so far.
Both Nylander and Tavares are shooters. Marner is a playmaker. Matthews is both. I like the move

Your math is a little off Matthews is on pace for 34 goals and 82 points. I know you don't like Marner but he has made every center he's played with better and have a career year in goals.
It seems Auston is "meh" on going for another Rocket Trophy….my guess is he wants to Jack his +/- this year, be a defensive forward and pot 40 goals, 60 assists. I think he WANTS the SELKE this year 🏆….any thoughts??
Marner is starting to heat up….this is the year he finally hits 100+ points.

from what I understand, there's was a rift in the dressing room in October, which has died down since… it was a pro-Keefe and anti-Keefe split. Some players are still "hating on" each other. Matthews was pro-Keefe and Marner was not. One or both of them still seem to be holding a grudge. Depending on their friendship, and how the season goes, this could be mended or the rift could widen and at that point you have to start considering a Barry Trotz move.
