God this has been a frustrating season
That was fun. We should do that again sometime.

Need to move on from markstrom 🤷♂️ we all know it, he’s had a leash but it’s time. This season is gonna be toast if he stays in net. What happened?

Markstrom needs to not let in the 1 back breaking goal a game period.
But regardless of markstrom, no team is going to win by only scoring 1 goal a night.
Our offense is off, our lines are weird. There’s a weird funk around this team
Passes don’t connect, shots are weak as fuck, markstrom let’s in a muffin.

I’m only half joking after how he deployed his players tonight. People were tearing gulutzan and ward about for less.
Markstrom… is broken. This team needs 4 goals a night because he’s guaranteed to give up 3. Very disappointing to see.
Liked huberdeau tonight. Maybe we should play him 20 mins a night like any other team in the nhl would with top 6 talent.

Look, i agree markstrom hasnt been good, but our offence absolutely blows. Wont win many games with 1 goal

My biggest concern with Markstrom is that I am starting to see shades of Mike Smith. He is making crazy flashy saves but also letting in softies… just like Smitty. I’ve always said that Smitty was one of the most athletic goalies in the league, and he had to be because his fundamentals were shit. I think Marky needs to see Ian Cole again…
That was the slowest yet fastest game ive ever seen
One thing I’ve noticed is that we don’t have much bite in the scrums after the whistle. We’re hitting hard but we’re not engaging emotionally like we had in the past. just an observation from a complete noob

Vladar needs to play the next few games honestly. Lost faith in Markstrom. It’s how he’s letting these goals in, just absolute softies that are backbreakers….

That was legitimately one of the most boring games of hockey I’ve ever watched. Suffocating Lightning defense and terrible goaltending.
Markstrom going big brain–can’t choke in the playoffs if you don’t make the playoffs.
Huberdeau is starting to look like the Huberdeau of past. But it doesn’t matter because we can’t score and Marky is letting in softies
Another game. Another 40 shots. Another goalie first star of the game. Not our goalie.
Most of our shots are non screened flicks from the blue line. We have our new 10.5 million dollar man on the third line with Lewis. Lucic getting top 6 minutes (love lucic) what the heck are we doing. We are slow at and can’t gain entry or get Possession in the offensive zone on the PP, Marky let’s in a goal within 3 shots then plays lights out until a guaranteed softee later in the game… what’s happening to us. We look dead out there
Can we ban Amharic Curses yet? Whatever it did to Oettinger was done tenfold to Markstrom
Can’t blame Marky even though he’s been shit. Can’t win games scoring 1 goal. Our shooting % is bottom 5 in the league.
Sutter is the main culprit. He’s rolling 4 checking lines and while we outshoot teams nightly the high danger chances are in the other team’s favour.
Fucking joke Sutter. Figure it out. I’m tired of hearing he’s won 2 cups — that was back in the dead scoring era where this lineup may have worked. But it’s 2022. Games are won by speed, look at the NJD and how badly they burned our lineup with their quickness
Damn man … that playoff series against the Oilers busted Marky. Just hasn’t been the same since.
Dave’s stick flip was self inflicted at least. Not so much Markstrom.
Oilers should send down Stu Skinner, at this point they owe for a couple of goalies they broke.
Zero chemistry. Bunch of strangers playing together. Kadri and Ritchie are the only two guys who look like they are trying.
We’ve been playing against some incredibly tough teams and the boys will get back into it. Definitely some unbelievably frustrating hockey but they just scored 6 goals on Monday. It’s there guys, it’s just not consistent. It’s coming. When the fuck do we play Anaheim?
Something that people haven’t mentioned is that Daryll needs to come up with a strategy beyond dump and chase for goalies who can actually handle the puck. Among a few of the reasons we lost to the oilers in the playoffs was that Smith was great behind the net and really neutered our dump ins. Same thing tonight with vasy.
It’s definitely frustrating to watch Daryll make no adjustments regardless of the opponent and role 4 lines.
