I am so sick of seeing our draft picks being so mid, while the Debbie’s hit on all of theirs. If these 2 ever played to they’re draft position we wouldn’t be here watching them lose these games. And anyone who says they’re happy with they’re performance is being completely disingenuous.

  2. 1999NYRFan

Been trying to tell y’all this team is lukewarm at best lol

  3. skypesweater

Really wish 93 would try doing literally anything else on the PP besides standing in the circle like he’s Alex Ovechkin for Halloween

  4. macktheknife13

Was at the game tonight, Vesey seemed like the best player out there. Everyone else was very uninspired. 4th line looked like they forgot how to hockey.

  5. Grabachev81

Jesus cmon grow up Igor. Gonna break your wrist over an ot loss on the road in November? At least break a stick after the goal is scored. Not play it up for the camera man 2 minutes later

  6. jaypeedee1025

they were down with 2 minutes to go and would have ended up with zero points score a big goal to tie it lose a 50-50 overtime and everyone here still complaining i swear . rangers could win the cup in 7 games and this sub would complain they dint sweep the cup if they dint fight back and get a point i understand but they were 2 minutes away from zero points this sub i tell ya i swear some of you are not fans and actively come here to trash the team here is a thought don’t watch now down vote me to death

  7. therealhughman

Having not played since Sunday, I expected this team to look way better than what I just watched. Another long walk to the bar to avoid drunk driving.

  8. PhillyJ739

What gives? How many “play our game” responses do we need? WHAT EVEN IS OUR GAME?????

  9. hernameisbrennan

Steve’s interpretation of Kreider’s interview there…..sure sounds like you see him as the captain in all but name 🤔

  10. Parking_Balance9715

Pretty certain Carpenter is the worst 4C I’ve ever seen.

  11. InsideIngenuity

Fuck all of you, Ill see you tomorrow

  12. AIC_333

I hate to be the “told you so” guy bc I’m certainly not happy about it, but at some point I think you will all realize that Panarin can’t be your highest paid forward and that Trouba is actually just Erik Gudbranson with better scoring output who happens to be making $8m a year. We’re not winning with that and we’re not winning with two top two draft picks who can’t score.

Gorton’s work in NY was way overrated.

  13. PoorInvestRichGamble

This team is the epitome of expecting results this year based on results last year. They are hard to watch

  14. thedayofreckoning569

I miss torts, at least we would play with some effort, let the skill shine, trotz wya

  15. terithegreat

Really did not want to have to do the walk of shame out of Climate Pledge Arena, but here we are. We looked very mid for a majority of the game… Lucky to have escaped with a point here, but no where near enough to win.

  16. Envelopen

So unfair how bad we got from where we just were, why are we losing every OT too we were awesome in OT last year it’s essentially the same group

  17. SortaRican4

Gallant is getting roasted! wow gotta love sports

  18. xXDireLegendXx

It really sucks about Kakko and Laf. I’m really starting to get concerned about them. I’ve got to be honest, if it was a choice between them two and Chytil I’m taking Chytil every day.

  19. ChaWolfMan

Our offense is absolutely dreadful. I knew the 5v5 was going to be tough, but this is so bad

  20. jerejeje

Interesting little tidbit: aside from Boston, New Jersey, and Vegas, no team has really been that great.

Los Angeles has the 4TH most points in the WHOLE LEAGUE, and they are only a whopping THREE points ahead of the Rangers, who I think we can say have disappointed so far record wise

I think this is because the strict and low salary cap has led to lots of teams being similarly talented.

  21. New_Capital3267

What is the player comp we think Laf is going to turn into? I don’t see what he does particularly well. He is a pretty good passer I guess? He’s a below average skater and doesn’t have a good shot. He doesn’t have great hands. What am I missing? Is he really passing the eye test for you guys?

  22. UsedToBeBradfordTwo

Has Gallant said he thought we played great tonight yet? That’s my sign to go to bed

  23. explosivebuttfarts

Whole lotta questions up and down the lineup.

    Shesty is a god.

    Fire the PP coach.

Panarin needs to git gud and get benched. For the love of God, stop taking stupid penalties and stop passing the puck to the other team

  24. sagmoon21

Ok, more random thoughts beyond just my Panarin slander a few mins ago:

    – I have nothing negative to say about Jimmy Vesey and appreciate the fact that he puts effort in every night
    – This team needs to stop relying on Zib to score every goal for them.
    – This team should be embarrassed about what they did to Igor tonight
    – I appreciate Kreider stepping up in a captain type role. He has been lackluster on the ice but I do think he’ll find his legs eventually
    – Chytil is the only Kid I’m satisfied with rn. Enough with the emotional connections to Laf and Kakko (especially the former). Kakko doesn’t look bad but he needs to start producing more. I don’t know what the fuck Laf is doing and if they traded him for someone better tomorrow I wouldn’t care
    – The Panarin and Trouba contracts are awful and something needs to be done here

  25. Parking_Balance9715

Laff doesn’t look like he has a high ceiling and I’m leaning toward bust. No speed, creativity, shot. His biggest strength is his hockey IQ. Might be time to sell high and trade him.

  26. ItsHeadbangerG

The only thing in my head right now is that [one scream from Stace McLaren](https://youtu.be/XpeHOgPKHs4) off the opening track for Violent Restitution. Team needs to wake the fuck up. I’m not in the « fire Gallant » crowd, but the idea is starting to whisper into my ear. This sucks.

    See you Saturday.

  27. UsedToBeBradfordTwo

    We haven’t had a 2+ game win streak since Oct 29th-November 1st

  28. Wasn’t able to catch the game, but it sounds like we played like ass except Igor and didn’t even deserve our loser point. Glad I missed this stinker, so good they banked a point, and will hope they can pull it together for the next game.

  29. whatiseeisme

Funny how yesterday panarin was a steal and now he’s overpaid lmao

  30. KingJames_684

I’m most disappointed with Laf, like what is he projected to be? He can’t pass, he can’t score, he can’t dangle, he can’t skate. At least with kakko there’s glimpses of a strong possession player. Laf there’s nothing lol

  31. Gbeez22

Here’s our W-L breakdown so far:

    W-W

    OTL

    Oof

  32. Envelopen

I like how everyone who did segments over the summer on the bruins, devils and Knights saying they would all atruggle and potentially miss the playoffs yet have no more than 4 losses. What is happening this year

  33. Envelopen

Just to clarify if we won every OT game we would have 4 th place in the league right now. These are deff games you want to be winning

  34. FearsomeOyster

I really hate how this teams poor 5v5 play is being blamed on Kakko and Laf. It is just quite simply not their fault. We already knew that neither of these players were McDavid types that would single handedly carry a line (and even with that Kakko has single handedly made a goal happen). They need at least some supporting scoring and they’re getting absolutely zilch from our Vets. Both of them are playing really really well.

In individual xG, Kakko is 2nd and Laf is 4th. In individual Scoring Chances Kakko is 5th and Laf is 1st, individual high danger chances? Kakko 3rd, Laf 1st. Kakko is even 2nd in rebound opportunities created. Penalties drawn? Kakko tied for 1st, with Laf only one drawn penalty back. Laf is towards the bottom is giveaways; and at the top in takeaways (Kakko a respectable 6th). Hell, Kakko is even the top forward in shots blocked. Everything points to these guys playing really good 5v5 hockey.

But I can already hear you saying « it just doesn’t matter unless they’re scoring points. Who cares about these advanced stats if you’re not putting the puck in the back of the net? » Well luckily they’re also some of our best forwards at putting up points. Kakko and Laf are 3rd and 5th, respectively, in forward 5v5 point production. The only players better right now are Panarin and Chytil (and Goodrow for Laf).

Kakko literally has more 5v5 goals than Kreider, Trocheck, Zibby, Vesey and so on. He only has one less goal than Panarin, Chytil, and Jack Hughes at 5v5.

If we’re going to turn this ship around, guys like Zibby, Kreider, and Trocheck need to start scoring goals too. It’s a vet issue, not a kids issue.

  35. seanggugg

This team is sorry man, it sucks but we Suck rn
