the leafs are soft especially their captain. also murray is not the answer in goal. if leafs want to win this year they need to trade for a better option in goal and defense . sounds crazy but i would call isles and see if you can get a varlomov romanov for tavares or marner trade done. i would also consider bringing in keenan as coach to get this team to play to their full potential and toughen them up. keenan wont tolerate any bs from their stars who are not giving 100 percent
leafs window is closing and there is a major problem with them giving 100 percent. i would consider bringing in mike keenan just for the rest of the season. he will take no BS and put fear of god into these players if they dont give 100 percent.

I wonder if Dubas has a plan B? I remember him saying that his goal was to accumulate as many draft pics as possible which increases its chances of finding skilled players and further he wanted to create a team that was very fast and highly skilled that opponents defense would not beable to manage . Well the devils are a top defensive team in the league and the Leafs couldn't muster much. The team needs a new identity I believe. Thats whats missing I think. Murray let in 3 bad goals….but to be fair he needs at least 5 games to get into game shape after injury. I still think Samsonov is the better goalie though. Very disappointing to see this team fall back a few steps.
