Come on bro…as Colorado fan I like Kubel…he can help you. But if you are expecting another Michael Bunting,or close to his production…you gonna be very disappointed. Avs make mistakes like any team-Patrick Nemeth at 2021 deadline being 1 of their worst. But not to that degree. If he was Michael Bunting-wed have picked up his measly option. I'm not dissing him-I really think it was smart by Dubis…but no he isn't the next Michael Bunting-trust me.
Very few fans, especially those on social media, understand how important defense is. As a result it is horribly undervalued. At the same time, players who offer nothing on defense are overvalued. Subban. No. Aube-Kebel, may be just what Tavares needs. If he has a chance to play with Marner he could put up a lot of points.

Leafs are better in nets this year but otherwise they are worse. There is no grit. Guaranteed, somebody will run Murray or Samsonov and they will be injured. The team is a bunch of marshmallows.
Unless they make good use of Clifford or Simmonds or bring in somebody else it’s going to be free runs at the Leafs this year. Prepare for more injuries up and down the lineup.

NAK is a former 2nd rounder who is still trying to play like a top six skilled F, even though it's clear his talent doesn't translate at the NHL level. He does have a physical element, so I think if he changes his game to a puck hound, he might get more success. He needs to be more committed defensively and harder on the puck. A huge drawback is he doesn't kill penalties. If he can't improve his defense, he'll always be a waiver wire guy.

It's not that Holl is a bad 3rd pairing defenseman. The Leafs have cheaper options due to the salary cap which is why he's expendable in most Leaf Fans opinion.
Sorry Aube-Kubel isn't the answer for the Leafs. He only played 67 games with 11 goals and 11 assists. As an Avs fan I wasn't impressed with his on the ice time. I actually believe Bednar cut his minutes. This might be another mistake by Dubas..
