Loui Eriksson dans le Gothenburg Post (GP). Partie d’entretien..

– Ça m’a beaucoup coûté.

The guy was a great defensive forward but he refused to work harder after landing his big contract the dude just floated around doing the bear minimum so yeah ppl were going to be mad and pissed off when you are being paid to be a elite two way player who can score 25 or more goals.

  2. Horvirts

He sweats more thinking about his time here than his time playing here.

He can blame whatever external factors, but he just did not live up to that contract in any way.

This is why i don’t like Free Agency. That particular year (2016) was absolutely devastating:

    Milan Lucic, 7 yrs, $42M

    Kyle Okposo, 7 yrs, $42M

    Andrew Ladd, 7 yrs, $38.5M

    Loui Eriksson, 6 yrs, $36M

    Frans Nielsen, 6 yrs, $31.25M

    David Backes, 5 yrs, $30M

    Darren Helm, 5 yrs, $19.25M

    Troy Brouwer, 4 yrs, $18M

Cry me a 6 million dollar per year river. Jesus.

Maybe if he tried a little harder a little more often he’d have been a little better liked.

Lool he should’ve accepted the fact that he needed to step up his play and owned it in the media. Instead he was silent all 6 years and played with no spark. Was our highest paid forward and most experienced player at some points… most other players of his pedigree would’ve shown more leadership. Don’t feel bad for loui lol

He literally made zero plays that made me go wow ‘that’s a 30 goal scorer’ he was flat from day one. His most memorable goal was on himself.

simple, if you dont want that pressure from everyone just dont take 6 mi/year

Could take 2mi and everyone would be ok with his time here

I still remember that time he beat out an icing call and the fans lost their minds, that’s how low the bar was at the end.

Wild that all 3 ex-Canucks from this trade are NHL UFAs…

Dump and change on a 3-2. Will always be my favourite Louie memory
