They have me a little worried, they need a spark and need a full game, but all these line changes is a lot of changing to get any chemistry. Agree with the veteran leadership, current team seems to fall apart and panicked under pressure.
Janmark has good boots . Has some experience playing top 6 with dallas and even in vegas last season in the short term. He has been skating and playing well with a chip on his shoulder since the call up. Maybe take advantage of that in the short term and he is playing against his old team. He is decent defensively.
Edm in their regular Nov cycle . lol . Agree edm needs a good start. Like to see how mcleod kostin and jp gel and if they can create havoc with their skating size and reach on the forecheck and the cycle.
Last season people freaked when smith could make a save then as usually goes on one of the supernova crazy 4-6 week runs with a spct of .930 plus. . Campbell likley will return to more of his history and should have more consistency than smith over the course of the season.
Edmonton #2 Left d needs to be figured out. Bouchard played well last game. He gets going on both side , the minutes and roles of the d will be put more proper order. Kulak is the place holder for broberg? Broberg needs to stay healthy , get a bit more time in bake and hopefully around mid season work his way to klefbom spot.
Positive they were able to play that type of hockey against la king for 45-50 mins. Need to play a bit longer and build on that. . The kings are discipline in. Edmonton will find their footing if history shows. Still figuring it out.
I how janmark can find a way to score some goals playing with McDavid if he is on the first line. Hopefully the oilers pull through and skinner plays another good game. (I have him in my fantasy league and he is my best goalie 😂)
Yeah today is a huge game certainly, I agree our lineup doesn’t look too pretty, but my take as to why Woodcroft perhaps changed the lines to what they are today, is because Vegas is a big tough heavy team who plays a strong checking/stingy game and has a very strong defensive core led by guys like Pietrangelo, McNabb, Martinez, Whitecloud, etc so perhaps we are trying to use a combination of grit and skill on each line to try and combat this. Regardless we need to have a good start and I think the remaining games for November vs the golden knights, New Jersey, Isles, Rangers and Panthers can really decipher if we can turn this thing around and survive the injuries without making a panic move, or if management has to bring someone in for the interim, hopefully we see a strong effort vs VGK tonight!
Patrick If you're reading this comment please hear me out, I've been trying to put on some Hockey Theories to where this this is gonna end up in by the end of April. First thing's first Good Job on deleting that review video at Roger's place 2 days ago and I understand that the negative responses look ugly with the fans drunk & crazy back there so be careful on that next time. On to my Theories it appears that most of the Games we seek out the last week or 2 were suddenly Turing into 2017/2018 games when Lucic or Talbot were around the team u know heavy team, Struggles, 4 goal Deficits, Bad Defense, & Bad Coaching. The Opposite is the team is faster, Lack of Depth, Goaltending Pressure, & Less Leadership, Keith & Smith (Koskinen) had the fanbase up roared with those guys not being the an answer in Locker room & rebounded their season last year in the Playoffs defeating both L.A & CGY, Now everyone complaints that we need those guys brought back for McDavid's Cup Contention Run but they're gone as in bye bye Veterans & Hello Ugly Young Oilers Team that's gonna ruin the Era of McDrai for 8th or 7th season this year. All im saying is the team will probably Struggle again tonight against Vegas, Janmark shouldn't be on Top 6, Blue line looks shaken, Skinner will be the 1 Starter for sure, Campbell's Season needs to change more in Practice with Glove, & Kenny Holland might be on the verge to get his Job on the Line if Connor can't get his linemates to score otherwise this might be turn into a Lottery team that will Tank a Top Prospect of Connor Bedard.
