Gauthier has earned a place on the 4th line as far as I’m concerned. Players like him sometimes bloom late, or not at all.
Based on his recent play, we’d lose him to waivers if we send him down again. If nothing else I think he’s earned an extended, long, last look. There’s no reason to rush to dump him now. If anything, he could be the pleasant surprise we never expected.
Another shoutout to Vesey, too. Dude has been playing great all-around hockey.
