  1. I thought I heard something about Vancouver being on Zaitsev’s NTC so I’m not sure this trade will happen

  2. I don't see how this helps the Canucks, besides shaving 1.5 million. From what I hear, he's got his own defensive issues. Like Myers, he's signed for another season and is smaller. Given that the Canucks would basically be going from using IR to just being at the Cap ceiling, I don't see the net benefit except saving Aquilini some money.

  3. As a Canucks fan, I know that this will happen because it makes no sense 😅

  4. Dorion's number one job at the moment is to find Alex Formenton a new home. He is any extra piece in any Zaitsev trade. Both those players have lost their spots on this roster.

  5. Zaitzev wants to skrew over the sens, so he denies this trade that (should) help the sens

  6. The trade got nixed. GM Dorian said a major trade got blocked by a player. And it’s not Myers. Enjoy the AHL Zaitsev

  7. It sounds like more of an exchange of hostages than a trade. I do think Canucks need to do something; anything to change things up on defence.

  8. If this was the case…. Ottawa retains salary on Zaitzev maybe 1.5m-2.5m and a pick for Meyers. Then maybe…

  9. Nah keep Myers. Only have his contract for 1 more year, and its not like he's terrible EVERY game. He has some good games here n there. Not enough cap space shaved off with that deal to make it worth it. And seeing how Alvin has handled the Stillman situation, he's gonna end up forcing Zaitsev into the lineup who is worse than Stillman. You could make the move if the organization is actually trying to tank or need extra cap space to sign kuzi.

  10. Reportedly Zaitsev already said no to Vancouver, They're on his no trade list. And he won't waive to go there.

  11. Not going to happen
As the Ottawa player does not want to play in Vancouver
Myers contract is only 1 million after he takes his signing bonus

  12. Dude, you've become an algorithmic parrot and are not a free thinker at all. You do not represent the Canuck nation. You make braindead proclimations for an entire fandome yet you operate with mind-numbing blinders on. And your opinion of your own opinion is Out. To. Lunch. Are you really the talented moron you seem to be? For most of the season, Myers lead the team in plus-minus last year while logging a ton of minutes. And he's actually one of the fastest Canucks in a straight line. Speed is not his problem. Agility is. With the wobbly giraffe advantage being insane reach, it's a trade off, and so not so straightforward as you might like to think. Whatever is going wrong in Vancovuer now is not the fault of TM. It's not the fault of BB. By far and alone, the blame goes to ownership and its insidious front-office rot.

  13. One bad contract for another.
Canucks or Sens be better off getting a jets dman. Demelo, Stanley, Schmidt, Pionk, Dillion,Heinola. Maybe plus prospect like vesalainen,Lucius, Gustafsson, Chisholm.
I'd like to know opinion on Ravshevsky I know he's 21-22 older prospect but decent numbers in khl.
Or one ufa rental like Dumba, gavrikov, shattenkirk, severson, Braun,Gudas, Soucy,Maata,Klingberg, Gostisbehere.
Or maybe a provorov but would cost alot.

  14. The 1.5 mil saved is not really enough to do much… the only possible upside I see is that it gives guys like Rathbone and Burroughs potentially more opportunity to play meaningful minutes at the NHL level because Myers is gone, and if that helps their development, then it is addition by subtraction for the team. Zaitsev can be parked in Abby for the rest of his contract for all I care. He does not seem to offer anything that can help the Canucks.
