Bad for nuance but good for extremes. If you have an obviously bad +/- relative to your team, you’re probably not good, and vice versa.

Its bad to take +/- without an eye test.
A simple watch of the team would show that Petey is showing a trend of being a Selke finalist and potentiallu winner if he continues his trajectory.

It’s mind blowing to me that they’re basically point per game players and still -11 and we’re not even 20 games in
+- isn’t a great stat but it isn’t completely useless. It’s actually a better indicator when your comparing within a single team like this.
I’d argue +- is telling a pretty compelling story here just maybe not a full one.

People who say it’s a useless stat don’t really understand hockey all that well.
It is flawed, but it is entirely useful.
