KK is just a spoiled rich kid, it's 50/50 whether they pan out or not, all depends on whether they respect the ethical nonsense that got their families to their position in society. If I had that much money at that age, I would give the finger to the league immediately after season 1, there is just too much to live for in the world than to waste it on hockey.

They had to negotiate with him as if he was an UFA as they didn't want to do a qualifying offer at $6.1M and if they don't he would have became UFA. They're still hoping he progresses, but it does seem Montreal dodge one and Dvorak contract doesn't last as long
Honestly, imo i believe that Galchenyuk was put in the worst possible time in MTL. Shit team, shit mentors/teammates, shit coach, the guy was never going to succeed in MTL with those pulling him down. Same with Deschene and Domi. As a canes fan I respect any decision they make but I really don't like this one… Svechnikov is showing signs of taking his game to the highest level and Jarvis is fitting into his place in the nhl. They are both in a critical growing phase, but KK just can't keep up with them or help them produce.

1goal in 18 is not bad for KK. He had none in 14 playoff games and 1 goal in his las 20 games of last season. So he's improving 🙂
But, Jasperi was no longer a centre when he left the Habs. In fact, he had not played that position for almost a year. So, I don't understand why he's playing as a centre with the Hurricanes. But, most of all, I don't understand why the Hurricanes offered Jasperi an offer sheet. Surely, there were better players available.
Kotkaniemi is not supposed to be offensive focused. He is great in the face off dot and will replace Staal when he retires
