Would have loved to see two points but I’ll take it.

  2. Lisa_lou_hoo

As it stands, the Oilers are down by 3 in the third….

  3. DOITLIKEBRUTUS

Darth Vladar stole us a point, praise be his name. Flames looked disinterested in winning in the third and in OT after looking solid in the second and this is the result. Better learn to play in the clutch in the future, no shootouts in the playoffs boys.

  4. Slimmynorthfish

Sutter putting 1 for 10 backs over Lindy, huge brain play 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

  5. Send_Headlight_Fluid

Brutal, but looked like a fun night for pens fans

  6. tristan1616

Backlund over Lindholm or literally anyone else in the shootout is just asking for a loss

  7. MountainEyes13

If only Kadri’s controller hadn’t disconnected.

  8. Put Hubey higher in the lineup and start Vladar again. Friday should be a barn burner

  9. HeepHoop

Wow what a game. Honestly vladar stole us a point there what a performance.

  10. GrafNebelgeist

Darth Vladar with a great performance. Got us at least a point out of this one.

    I’ll take it.

  11. Expresso_King

    We won at heart!

Great game, no reason to hang our heads.

    Vladdaddy: big game.

  12. Drcanadaeh

Vladar is a stud. Not even mad at that loss – looked like we played well but the Penguins were fighting for Geno. Malkin scoring the shootout winner was a badass moment. GFG still got a point 🔥🔥

  13. Serapth

Our best goaltending game of the year.

IMHO, it’s Vladar’s net at this point. But then, after last playoffs, I have no faith in Sutter’s goaltending decisions.

  14. lunchbawkz

Why would you put Backs in over Dube, Mange, Lindy… Backs sucks at shootouts lol

  15. Monahan88

Honestly, that would’ve been the greasiest road win of all time. Take the 1 point and move on

  16. HashiesSL

Im coping with this loss by laughing at Malkin for messing up the stick toss after his goal.

  17. TheFifthsWord

I can’t believe how much the fans were into the game featuring a cross conference team on a Wednesday night

  18. Hockonlube

Ok so it’s clear. Put Vladar in for regulation and Marky in for the Shootout.

  19. SKKforLife

Can’t really blame Vladar for a shootout loss. It’s all a crap shoot. Sutter should honestly play Vladar more. He basically single handedly got the team a point.

  20. Duck_Caught_Upstream

    Pittsburgh played incredible.

Glad Vladar played amazing and got us a point tonight

  21. marveldcomnibus9

Only positives tonight for the Flames was Vladar and Zadarov (besides the high stick that was missed in OT).

If it wasn’t for Vladar the Pengiuns would have blown us out.

  22. TravisTouchdown_51

The Flames were fortunate to walk away with a point tonight. Second period aside, they we’re outplayed by the Pens thoroughly and if it wasnt for Vladar this game would’ve gotten ugly. Definately need to play better against Washington.

  23. CanadianRockx

Was tonight a special night for Malkin? Game milestone or something? I don’t understand why people were saying it was fate (I only followed along at work couldn’t watch)

  24. locoenchilada

    Great game by Vladar.

    Terrible penalty call in OT.

    Happy with a point.

Kadri needs to do better in OT and that penalty shot.

  25. VictorHelios1

Damn. Solid game by tanev and vladar. They sold out and played amazing. I ain’t even mad. Losing to a malkin 4th round shootout goal in his milestone celebration game? That’s fine by me. Congrats to malkin and his great career so far.

First time this season a goalie stole us a point. And yes, goalies should be doing that sometimes.

Vladar deserves more rope. Ik Markstrom has « earned » a season of rope to play like mediocre crap because yes he has, but in all honesty, his starter position shouldn’t be safe anymore. Vladar played better in this game than anything I’ve seen from Markstrom since April.

One more thing, but Huberdeau needs to be on a higher line. The kadri line has lost its early touch, I don’t see why swapping Dube or Mangiapane with him would hurt.

  27. arashinoko

Really wanted a win for Vladar. I’ll take the point though!

  28. Inventive44

Those points will be huge in the long run

  29. JayTalk

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Dan Vladar is a Calgary Flame until 2025

  30. DOITLIKEBRUTUS

Our best goaltending performance this year and it isn’t close.

  31. loosaratops87

Sucks to lose but I am at least happy that Malkin got to score the winning goal.

  32. arashinoko

Vladar was absolutely awesome. This was a regulation loss (and probably an embarrassing one) without that performance.

  33. landofschaff

I’ll take the point. On to the next

  34. Accomplished_Skin_22

We’re in a playoff spot at American Thanksgiving, so I’d say we’ve managed to turn it around since the losing streak
