I’ve never seen anything like that and I hope I never see anything like that ever again. If I do, that’s the day I stop watching pro hockey. Unacceptable.

  2. marchese51

Tough way to end it but I’d rather us lose that way than get dominated and play poorly. Let’s go get another 13 in a row starting Friday.

Throwing shit on the ice is a problem if it happens often but I love our fans showing passion. It’s hilarious seeing Toronto fans pearl clutching like they didn’t cheer when Kevin Durant tore his Achilles

  4. avellinoblvd

get a mic in front of Miles Wood, stat!

  5. cabeener

I’d have thrown shit on the ice tonight too, that was a dogshit performance from the NHL refs and the boys in Toronto monitoring the situation

Hopefully that draws attention to how bad officiating is and not to us a fan base, but fuck it. I’d ride those chances all fucking day

  6. ripkif318

I’m taking the league to small claims court for the cost of my tickets for that shit tier officiating

IMO there’s no excuse for throwing stuff on the ice, but I’m convinced anyone complaining about the fans at the arena being upset have straight up never been to a sporting event before. People in the stands aren’t getting all the replays/angles/slow-mo we get on TV so it’s hard for them to tell whether a call is right or not.

But more importantly, you always boo when a call doesn’t go your team’s way, I don’t care how obvious it was, I’m gonna boo and yell at the refs that they suck.

  8. TallerWindow

Well there’s more than 14 more games left in the season last I checked, you know what to do

  9. chickenKsadilla

Devils were getting pissed at our own fans, they were trying to stop them from throwing shit. It’s embarrassing and if you did it you’re a clown. Also fuck your for making me miss my train.

As a hardcore Leafs hater (est. 2018) I’m so glad this fanbase seems to also now be a hardcore Leafs hater and can be a hater with me going forward ❤️🖤

unhappy with the fans throwing stuff on the ice, but not really surprised. for starters, the entire state of nj is drunk for thanksgiving eve. and how many times do you see 3 goals disallowed? especially a game that could’ve broken a record. if the refs called murray for the delay of game i do think people would’ve been less pissed.

would’ve preferred if they lost in a game where they played bad and deserved it, but whatever. gg leafs, murray stood on his head

  12. imsocooldude

No reason to throw trash at the leafs but after the 3rd disallowed goal it was absolutely warranted. Sorry.

  13. ChannelShot7061

    Rough one to lose.

But, even if we are delusional about the Devils abilities like Leaf fans say, its better to be delusional for 13 games rather than 55 years.

  14. Losing 2-1 in a wacky weird game doesn’t really bother me. I want this team to win the cup. Come back and just go on another run. I seriously think they can. Keep this energy and let’s go do this.

  15. Are there any fancy analytics stats websites that keep track of disallowed and overturned goals? We have to be leading the league, if not on an historic pace at this point. Seems like every game there’s at least one against us, never the other way around

  16. Salad_Pig

Do you guys think the NHL will look into those ref’s abilities and calls this game? I like to hope so.

  17. sweetstickysuccess

i was going to say it feels good to not feel bad after this loss… but this one kinda stung lol

  18. Frenchthealpaca

It’s actually normal for three goals to be disallowed by a ref managing his third game while one team is on the verge of history. Its insanely normal to have three goals called back at home.

    -a leafs fan

  19. Two goals from sloppy plays.

    Three disallowed goals.

    Huge effort at the end.

I’m glad it’s over. Back to just playing for points.

  20. 37Elite

By rule, the 2nd disallowed was based on ref discretion and was correctly ruled a no goal, and should have been a Devils penalty (refs ruled more than incidental contact). 3rd disallowed goal was a no goal by rule as well. The 1st disallowed goal I think should have counted. There was contact, but Murray was not impeded by the contact and was still able to move freely for the save (he didn’t even complain!).

Also, Murray should have gotten a penalty for the net dislodging and the Devils should have gotten a delay of game for the trash. Despicable behavior from fans. Overall, just a shit reffed game.

  21. Odd_Job_99

People are overreacting to the throwing stuff. I know the hockey world probably will too but you gotta cut people slack for being passionate. It’s not like we haven’t seen other fans at other arenas boil over like that before. See Panthers fans with the rats a few years back, or the Flyers fans on the Ed Snider memorial night throwing the light up bracelets onto the ice. I almost guarantee that any other fan base, on a potential franchise record setting night, would also get frustrated after 3 overturned goals. Haula’s no-goal was the clearest call of the bunch, but it didn’t matter because it was the straw that broke the back.

  22. GartThrowaway

I don’t mind when refs miss a call or get it wrong live because it’s a fast game but when they have a chance to review it and ask The league for a rule refresher if they need and they still get it wrong? If I was that bad at my job on national television I’d be fired on the spot

  23. ks_DEVILS_fan

Farce of a hockey game… that was hard to watch lol.

Devils never quit really proud of this team just didn’t go out way.

The streak had to end and it stinks how it did but this outcome will only add fuel to the fire. These boys are hungry let’s take it out on the next team.

Good game refs(44) leafs suck eggs.

    Go Devils!

  24. hypernova13

The disallowed goals were BS but Murray played amazing and stole that game. The guys played great so can’t really be too upset.

  25. Russian_Unicorn

All fake bandwagon fans, please leave. For everyone else, see you Friday.

  26. Internetter1

Let the team carry this energy into another heater. They flat out dominated the leafs outside the first period despite everything, they didn’t stop once. The streak might have ended, but their play is still utterly dominant. Carry it on.

And fuck the privileged losers who threw shit on the ice
