Bo is the guy who takes all the important faceoffs, trading him will for sure make the team worse. OEL, stillman, and the defense are killing this team
Tank, tank, tank. My argument against tanking was that Demko was too good to truly tank, like you can get 9th or 10th with him kind of thing, but that has changed.

Sell and tank for Bedard, there should be no other option. This team needs a full restructuring and what better time to suck and rebuild when this year and next year have two amazing Van born players possibly both number 1 or top 3 picks? TANK!!!

What is the actual cost going to be to get rid of OEL’s contract? Can the Canucks trade Miller without a sweetener? Is this a bad time to try to be moving players, given that other teams are tight to the cap? Is it better to dangle your best assets now in trade rather than have them walk later for less (or nothing) so that you can at least get picks back in order to make a proper fresh start?
Do canucks fans not realize how many more wins they'd have if the just had average goaltending? Even just holding onto the lead in 2 of the games they blew would put this team at .500.
LA gonna drop off, likely Seattle as well. Only 5 points behind in the west with 63 games to go. Kuzmenko is cheap this year, same with miller and horvat. Trade for a top 4 LD and move OEL down to third line. Myers is a plus player and shocking how bad Canucks fans have treated him.
Thankfully Rutherford hasn't reacted based on emotion like 90% of canucks fans seem to be calling for. Get rid of Boudreau and bring in a tough Tortorella type coach to get the most out of these guys. Strip Horvat of the C as he oozes insecurity and give it to Peterrson who is the heart and soul of the team. Nobody cares more than Petey.
the problem is, there's too many people like jeff that "pay good money, wanna watch good hockey" type attitude that will keep the canucks in the lower half of the league for the forseeable future. i'm sick and tired of this scenario and even at my old age would be excited to see this team start over like when they got the sedins with the 2nd and 3rd overall pick.
I've never seen a team blow so many leads before. It's F-ING comical at this point. I laugh whenever they're up by two goals early.
Commit to a direction , rebuilding, getting better , getting picks, improving the roster , commit to a coach, or get one you do commit to.
It just seems every move, every addition, or subtraction is in isolation, or in opposition to other moves they make. Who is actually in charge of this?
They have zilch on the farm, nobody coming from Europe, and the current roster is below average AND At the cap.

He seems like he cant get the feel of the puck… Demko cant make one save:(:( u guys think the 4 goal was bad??? what about the third goal… that was horrible… he didnt even know where the puck was… horrible its time to let Martin steal the show.. Demko is not even a top 10 goalie… all the goalies we had in the past never looked this shitty:(
Sorry I grew up in the 80's and King Richard Brodeur was the reason why I became a goalie when I was young…
people keep complaining bout our D I get it… but its time to look at this goalie and blame him… theres so many goalies in the past and they played so much better than Demko:( im just embarrassed he cant make any saves if his life depended on it:(

FACTS by JPAT in terms of the rivalry with the Bruins… there is NONE when we have haven't been in their class this year, or any year since 2011.

If they trade Bo and do any type of retool/rebuild/reset whatever you wanna call it, Schenn should ABSOLUTELY be resigned and made Captain. He needs to have an official leadership role where he can help shape the culture moving forward.

Only If OEL, Myers and Stillman can learn to simply bank the puck off the boards. Let the forwards check and chase for pucks. OEL and Myers especially, because those two like to show they are skilled veterans and can hang onto the puck longer. Look at how OEL looks so cool hanging onto pucks a bit too long, and the next thing you know, the pucks are often intercepted. 2 darn veterans that do not know that they have aged badly, where they should now keep things simple rather than being cool. Yeah, Rathbone and younger players are more forgiven for boneheaded mistakes. But not 2 veterans that Canucks depended on to have better seasons.

This organization painted themselves into a corner. Took ten years but I think even the owner has no choice but to rebuild. They have no options left. He can't sit there and do nothing and watch this ship inevitably go down. He has assets that can be turned into much more valuable assets in the future. If we accually got a 1st over all pick or 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th you set yourself up. Having 2 or 3 firsts in this draft would be unbelievable. Im not saying we'd have 3 top 1st round picks, I mean a top pick you tanked for and 2 later round picks like a 18th and a 25th. Start trading players to load up your draft capital for the next 5 years and in 6 or 7 years we'll have a team this fan base deserves. I'm actually hoping this team continues to lose and doesn't get on a heater and just miss the playoffs. I hope it stays bad.
