Only the Oilers could get swept for a second straight season despite their 2 generational players having the postseason of a lifetime.
Seriously? That’s where you call them frauds? Man, if getting swept by Colorado (who went on to win the fucking cup) WHILE Nurse and Draisitl are playing injured, then what does that say about Toronto.
Oh and it should be noted, even though they were playing a “superior” opponent AND two of its core players were seriously injured, 3/4 games were one-goal games (yes game 1 was an 8-6 Colorado final, but the 8th was on an empty net).
And you want to talk injuries? Colorado faced Nashville WITHOUT Saros and had to shelf Binnington to beat the blues. Not saying they would’ve lost those series, but they wouldn’t have been the cakewalk Colorado got.

The oilers had way more injuries than the avs with draisaitl, yamamoto, nurse, kane and puljujarvi hurt plus kane being suspended one game. Also all the games were very close except game 2. 3 4 both went to ot if im not mistaken and game 1 was 1 one goal with two empty netters by the avs and the reffing was absolutely abhorrent against the oilers and smith played terrible the entirety of the playoffs
