If the Kid Line is the 2nd line, I’m fine with this.

If Vesey and Goodrow are seeing more time than the kids just because they’re with Trocheck, this coach is a bad joke

Ik Vesey has been solid, but him and Goodrow in the top six over Laf and Kakko is a crime. I don’t see the problem with a second line of Laf Trocheck Kakko and having Chytil centering the 3rd line.

I fully expect Vesey – Trocheck – Goody to get more minutes than the kid line. All 3 players play on the PK and Trocheck also plays on the PP. None of the kids line are currently being used as a primary PKers and PP2 now gets even LESS time to work with than last season (somehow).

You can also start the Trocheck line in any zone while you really can’t have Chytil taking defensive zone draws. Two things can be true: Chytil is a dynamic offensive force, Chytil is also our worst center at taking faceoffs (40%) and our worst defensive center. Most faceoff stats aren’t worth much because most NHL players manage to keep the faceoff at least competitive at around ~50%. If you’re losing draws ~10% more than everyone else, that’s a ton of possession time you’re simply giving up because you didn’t have Trocheck on the ice (who is our best FO specialist by FAR).

I genuinely couldn’t put together worse lines (within reason) if I tried. Oof. If we roll that second line as a shut down line I guess that’s good? But jeez. Why is Krav looking like he’s taking Gaut’s place? Just awful. I want Krav to play, but not if we take out one of our best 5 on 5 bottom 6 players to do it. And to play Krav on a completely offensively inept line like that? What’s even the point? Krav isn’t gonna be hitting people. Why.

Gallant is a failure of a coach and anyone with a brain will have understood this for about a year now.

The rangers should have won on Wednesday. They played extremely well while Gibson made maybe 3 highlight reel worthy saves.

And Halak played well except when he didn’t (lol). He wants back two of those goals.

We’re playing the right way, we just have STUPIDLY terrible puck luck. I don’t love not winning, but I’d be far more POed if we weren’t playing well
