If we have the depth, we should use it, so I really don’t mind giving Simmonds a game here

    It’s a long season

What can Calle Järnkrok give you in a top-six role?

    > »One thing he has shown, first of all, is that he is defensively responsible but also that he can score. If you get him the puck in good spots, he is going to put it in. He showed that in preseason. He has shown that in the regular season here…. His game, I think, is starting to trend in the right direction — his overall game, and yet within the period that we have played here, I think he still found ways to contribute to our team. He has scored big goals and contributed at five-on-five for us. He is a good penalty killer with good defensive habits. He gives you absolutely everything he has on every shift… To that end, we wanted to give him that opportunity. We also just like how it shapes up the rest of the lines.

I like this move a lot. There were a few shifts in a game earlier this year where Jarnkrok was on the JT line and I noticed they had Chemistry right away. Hopefully we see that today.

So I guess he cleared waivers then

Jarnkrok has a great shot in the slot. Marner feeds Tavares in front, or Jarnkrok in the slot. Could be something.

calle can really shoot so he might fit in perfect on the second line especially m=playing with mitch

Jarnkrok: Kerfoot for less money and better finish.

Jarnkrok on that line gives the Leafs two lines to bury in the defensive zone and two lines to give easier matchups too. Nicely balanced.

The lineup with Robertson in place in New Jersey really only gave the Leafs one line to trust defensively.
