Faits saillants prolongés des Jets de Winnipeg aux Stars de Dallas

  1. being from Houston (naturally I'm a Stars fan because they are the only team in the state), this was the first Hockey game I've ever gone to, and boy was it a good one. Sadly my boys lost but it was an experience I'll never forget and I can't wait to be back!

  2. J-Mo's goal was an F U to the officiating. This game should have never gone to OT in the first place. Even if you blame Morrissey for pushing the Stars player into Hellebuych, which knocked his helmet off, the fact of the matter is the guy playing the most important position, who's job it is to stop the puck, is on the ice, not moving, without his helmet. 2 refs and 2 linesman, and nobody even THINKS to blow the play dead.

Good on Morrissey for getting the last laugh.

  3. How can you be a professional hockey league ref and not know the rules? Refs and the league handed Dallas a point they never should’ve got

  4. What a joke, was Hellebuyck supposed to stand up and keep playing without a helmet for them to blow the whistle?

  5. I just started watching hockey this season it will be my first full season and I enjoy it more then Football anyday

  6. The Jets won in spite of the worst displays of NHL officiating in years. These clowns couldn't even call icing correctly.

And for those who don't know any better: NHL Rule 9 – Uniforms – 9.6 – Helmets: When a goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask and his team has control of the puck, the play shall be stopped immediately to allow the goalkeeper the opportunity to regain his helmet and/or face mask. When the opposing team has control of the puck, play shall only be stopped if there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity. This stoppage of play must be made by the Referee.

Dallas didn't have an "impending scoring opportunity"…they scored several seconds after Hellebuyck was lying on the ground. In fact, when Hellebuyck went down the puck was behind the net…that is not an "impending scoring opportunity" to allow play to continue. The play should have been blown dead the instant the puck was behind the net. This game should never have gone to overtime.

What happened in this game is even more pathetic when you look at the disallowed goal in the NJ/Leafs game…the NJ player simply touched the skate of the Leafs goalie (not even a gentle "bump") and they called goalie interference. Hellebuyck gets his head rammed into the post by a 200 lb man and no call. It reminds me of the time James Neal broke his stick over Hellebuyck's face and they allowed that goal to stand. The NHL doesn't seem to understand its own rulebook. I'm not even sure the NHL is aware that they have a rulebook.

GO JETS GO AND F*%K THE NHL!!!

  7. I thought they blow they play dead when a goalies mask comes off??

Does this mean you actually have to keep playing with no mask on?

  8. It’s amazing to me how so many people think they know the rules and spew hate. So many ppl are blowing up about that goal call and quoting the first part of rule 9.6. They’re completely ignoring the possession part of the rule.

  9. lol… Dallas. 5 players and 2 officials on the payroll and they still can't take the 2 points.
    Go Jets!

  10. Brutal refs! Shouldn't have even gone to OT hellybuyck had no Helmet they even review the play see him laying down no Helmet still count it, NHL rigged 100%

  11. It’s gonna be really hard for the Jets to send down number 23 to the moose when Barron is back

  12. Bonnes beats his old team twice, the first one doesn’t count because Bonnes wasn’t coaching. Dallas was dumb to get rid of him, he’s an awesome coach, we played a whole year without ehlers and look at how good are record is

  13. "corpulent rebound", "savory toss", "petroleum based shooter", "besoilinity to his shot", lol 😂
