There may be a silver lining somewhere, in regards to the defensive injuries. Perhaps it'll embolden the defense who are forced to step up, and the forwards, who have to compensate. Baptism by fire.

Find a way to win. Matthews, yes. Tavares, yes. Rielly, yes. Marner, no. This team has been a tire fire when Marner has been out.
Interesting story I heard about Giordano. The Kraken originally intended to have no captain and simple rotate alternate captains. When management saw the respect that their other players treated Giordano with they concluded that they had to make him their team captain.
Justin Holl has no place in the line up. He is leading the Leafs in minutes every night now. He is our number 1 D.
Kerfoot should have been moved last summer. He isn't a top 6 guy, but he isn't really a bottom 6 guy.
Nylander can't or won't defend. It leads to the line getting trapped in their own end. Especially when they are match up against a top line. Nylander, Matthews and Bunting reminds me of Nylander Matthews and Hyman playing against the Bruins in 2018. Trapped in their own end a lot with the other team cycling. Break out get one shot on net then lose the puck and get driven back down the ice.
