According to Rule 9.6 (Helmets), “When a goalie has lost his helmet and the opposing team has control of the puck, play isonly stopped if there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity.”
Thats all fine and dandy, but define immediate. Taking the puck around the net, randomly throwing it out towards the slot, then the dallas player stops & turns to then pass it to another player at the point, is not immediate….

don’t care if it was jmo’s fault that helle got taken down. helle was face down for a good 5+ seconds and had no idea what was going on, but yet the play was blown dead when ottenger lost his blocker. it’s embarrassing as a hockey fan to watch stuff like this and see that the officials in this league have clearly never officiated a game before. cmon bettman, get ur head out of ur ass and do something about the officiating. …re write rule 9.6 before a goalie is minus all his chiclets, at best., I thought the rule is supposed to protect the goalies? ….the refs keep doing a great job to make sure Winnipeg is kept at the bottom…..embarrassing…

Sambergs been playing pretty good. So did Demelo last night. Pretty sure the d lineup will stay as is for a min assuming no injuries. Agree on the power play. Needs something. Fuck helmetless action for a goalie. Not cool. Especially after they tried to give them a free goal with the puck leaving the playing surface!!
