  1. That is total Bull Shit that that arbitrator is unavailable…….so the Oil have to wait…..lose Kaner anyway and lose out on any good players on free agency…..more proof that Bettman couldn’t give two shits about hockey in Canada.

  2. I'm not necessarily opposed to Ville Hiusso but before we all get too smitten and carried away here, lets remember a few things….

He's only just completed his 2nd NHL season and has a grand total of 57 games played. Assuming Stuart Skinner (14 total games played) is the other half of our rotation,, do you really want a starting tandem that only has 71 games between them?

That seems rather risky to my mind. And he didn't have a particularly good playoffs this year either. As I say, I'm not opposed but it's going to be a tight market this year with a heavy risk of overpays. It seems this guy is getting a little more hype than maybe he's worth. He's still developing.

I think I'd be a lot more comfortable with a steady, reliable, reasonably priced veteran to partner with Skinner, not a slightly more experienced version of him.

  3. I hope the Oilers get what they want in Pittsburgh trade talk and I feel the Oilers should trade Yamamoto and Nugent and get bigger offence player ! I feel hype about this season coming up ! GO OILERS GO 🇨🇦 Cup driving feeling 2022-2023 !

  4. Barrie and Samorukov to Pittsburgh for Brian Dumoulin. Would that be a potential trade? Zack Kassian (and some sweetners) for Connor Brown AND Scott Sabourin would be a nice trade. Sabourin is a 4th line grinder who can replace Kass' gritiness

  5. Husso too unproven for my liking. I think Holtby and Skinner will be an acceptable tandem; hopefully Skinner can emerge like Demko did in front of Holtby and everything will be ok lol

  6. If Keith retires and we don't get the cap recapture. The Oilers should sue the NHL since it's part of the CBA they get their 3.4 million

  7. You know I love your channel. Patrick and I will always support it. But that intro music is terrible. Beach boys sounding stuff

  8. I like husso but if he wants around the same money as Campbell, I’d rather have Campbell. Husso is sketchy because we seen a lot of goalies have one good season on their contract year. With Campbell we know what we are getting. If husso only wants 3.5 – 4 I’m game.

  9. Woody is coming back with Manson. Holland is garbage if he can't get it done. We do not know the Oilers are trying to move Barrie and I have no idea where this idea is coming from. The Oilers organization has four right-shot D: Bouchard, Ceci, Barrie, and Kesselring (I think that's spelled right). Kesselring is not ready for the NHL. And besides, what exactly is wrong with having two puck-moving defensemen on the right side? Holland has said absolutely nothing about shopping Barrie, and they Oilers do not know if they have cap room or not until decisions are made on Smith and Keith. Plus, it's sounding more and more likely there is no market for Zack Kassian and he'll be bought out, buying the Oilers $2 million in cap space next season. Ville Husso is a brilliant player for the Oilers to pursue. Low cap hit and possibly really good goalie, although I feel Skinner is going to take a major jump this year and become the Oilers starter. Puljujarvi is being moved for picks. Keith is going on LTIR for the whole season. Evander Kane is not coming back to Edmonton.

  10. I don't see the reason why they would trade JP for someone that could leave in a year.

  11. I’d rather pursue Jack Campbell but if he’s unattainable, Husso is a good pick hopefully. Husso will get lot’s of experience on a good team!

  12. WTF why would the Pens take on Barrie's cap? They are re-signing afaik, and they need cap room for Malkin.

Also, why would the arbitration with the Sharks impact Kane's contract? I don't get that part.

  13. Kassian for Brown? That is a nearly equal cap hit. I don't see the advantage in that for the OIlers. I would think OIlers need to gain cap space in order to try to sign Kane. This trade won't happen.
Also, remember 4 years ago and Chiarelli was desperate for a starting goalie and that led to the Koski signing. Husso only has a handful more games than Skinner. No way should Oil gamble on this guy for 4 x whatever it costs, it's too much / year.
