    After years of hearing about “the Hossa curse” and twice coming so close, he was essential to three cups and came to find a home in Chicago. Thank you for everything, Hoss ❤️

    I literally was broken when he left the Wings!! When he signed I was so excited I screamed out in my office! I even credited a 12 year old blank Nike Red Wings jersey for him.  
    It was good of Holland to allow him to talk to teams Before the actual official day. When he retired I snagged his Team Europe WC jersey, ….. classy great 3 zone player.

    As a Blackhawks fan, I'll say he was a pleasure to watch every game. No one could backcheck like Hossa.

    Hossa was a complete player; a backchecking player effective on all 200ft of ice. A defensive forward who scored 500+ goals. I rank him in the top 3 of the best two-way NHL forwards of all time.
    The line Gainey – Datsyuk – Hossa would be a wonder to see, a line for the ages.
    Thanks Hoss for everything. Memories will not fade away as long as we live.

    So proud of him, well deserved, I'm lucky I live close to Trencin and I've seen him play for his boyhood club Dukla Trencin few times, together with #38(R.I.P.) and #10 they were fantastic and brought happiness to fans💛❤

    Incredible ceremony and a well deserved honour for an incredible player. However, that banner should say 2017; for the same reason Hossa was inducted to the HHOF in 2020: because 2017 was the year he stopped playing

    He was(literally) the one and only 81! We'll never forget him, especially now with that banner hanging in the United Center.
    There will never be another Blackhawks player wearing a jersey that has both the numbers 1 and 8 on it because #18 and #81 are now BOTH retired.

    Blackhawks organisation knows that there would be no cup without Hossa.
    So that is the reason he is on rafters.
    I bet neither Kane or Toews gets this honour.
