Great to see Hamelin play and agree he did not look out of place. Bison king playing well defensely but still not scoring. Waste on top line. This coming back to win will build character later in the season. I liked the indigenous jerseys as well. Keep the vids rolling!
Schedule-wise, this was a brutal November, and I was hoping we'd at least go 500 for the month. That can still happen if they win their next game against Chicago to close out the month.
Zach Hyman, imo, is the most consistent Oiler (even more so than 97). The guy is always ready to play from the beginning of a game and doesn’t take nights off. … Also, you can already tell that teams are developing more and better ways to counteract a 29 and 97 line at 5 on 5. That’s going to lead to less loading up options for the Oilers.

Bottom 3 held the line well. Hamblin digging out pucks off the boards, Malone blocking shots and playing physical, and Holloway honing his skill all around. For being an AHL line they looked like hockey players and worked well together, great chemistry and mix of styles and skillsets.
There was a big JP hit I missed on Ekblad I think. He seemed to get pissed at him. I kinda want see that.
Janmark is a keeper imo. Solid all around hockey player. Served well in 1st and 2nd line now when needed. Adapted well to McDavid’s style before and played Nuge’s game tonight. That is a high IQ player imo. We should sign him. I’m not sure Ryan is coming back and Janmark fills that role and might be an upgrade. Just not s right shot so not a direct replacement.
Good game! When Bouchard scored with 4.4 seconds left it was the first time this season I jumped out of my chair cheering like a mad man lol the puck was touched above the crossbar so not certain of the ruling on that one. If it was contacted below the shoulder then who’s shoulder are they going by lol no matter… karma was on our side.
