  1. Justin Holl is starting to look OK, but Matthews is having a rough start, Kerfoot in his 23 games only has 1 goal and 6 assists, 7 points in 23 games… yikes. The Leafs have sustained a multitude of injuries this season, mostly in goalies and defenseman but they have a really good record thus far, a 3 game winning streak and pretty damn good defense overall given the amount of injured experienced players like Muzzin, Rielly and Benn. However, they need to do something about their overtime game because they are simply NOT good enough in Overtime, 5 overtime games and only 1 win? Not exactly top form when it comes to overtime lets be honest.

  2. … then he plays the red wings and falls apart. lets see how long this video lasted. "written 2 hours before the game btw"

  3. Holls been excellent the last couple weeks. Dudes stepped up big time. Love all the couch potatoes in the comments pretending they know a thing about hockey.

  4. While I don't doubt Holl and Sandin have elevated their play due to the current situation I think some attention has to be paid to forwards making it easier for them. It's cliche for a reason, "defense is a total team effort." With a team dedicated to defense, heck, you can even win games with an E-BUG in net. I think that's happened before.

  5. Haha, yeah, because the regular season is a "critical time" for the Leafs. Leafs fans should just tune out until the playoffs. They are a beast in the regular season, it's a matter of when they can have that result in playoff success

  6. It’s true. Holl has been terrible and is playing better. Now’s the time to trade him because he’s really not an NHL defence man. Also, Reilly is overrated. The difference the last 4 games is “jump”. All forwards are defending well and have an intensity rarely if ever seen in the current leafs. This helps the mediocre Holl.

  7. At 31 yrs old he should have figured that position out by now. Glad he is playing better but he still cant win a battle for the puck along the boards. The other team comes out with it 9 out of 10 times.
