Les stars signent 26 ans Hintz à 8×8.45M qui est ppg depuis 3 saisons. Pettersson aura presque 26 ans quand il aura besoin d’une prolongation

Are you saying that Petey needs to take a Hintz and come in at under 9M? Unsure we have enough Roope with him to get that result.
That contract is more a comparable for Horvat than Elias.
Gonna be lucky if Petey isn’t making 12 on his next deal.
By the time he’s 26 Pettersson will be better than this. Plus with a bigger cap salaries will increase.
The best case scenario isn’t a low cap hit for Pettersson. Hopefully he’ll be so good he commands superstar money. Hopefully he’ll be this team’s « Bedard » to build a team around. He won’t be someone we want to nickel and dime, best case scenario.
If Petey becomes a Selke calibre shutdown center capable of 90 points he’s going to get OEL money 😎
Petey will want more than $10 million and he’ll deserve it.
I’ll be happy with whatever contract he signs as long as he’s a Canuck for another 7-8 years.
He’s been ppg for 1 shortened season, not 3?
Bergeron is the best 2 way player in the game, that should be Pettersons direct comparison. So $5 mil aav…..DO IT !!!
Hintz’s contract may be more of a comparable for Horvat. I think the days of thinking that Horvat is worth anything less than 7.5M is in the past. He will be worth at least that if not more.
Maybe the Canucks will trade Miller and give Horvat the 7 years @ 8M deal…..Horvat is more valuable to this Canucks team for the next 4-5 years than Miller will be. Miller cannot center a top 6 line without exposing his defensive lapses. Miller scores a bunch on the power play and would be an asset for a “win now” team who just needs a winger who can score a bunch….could that be Calgary?
Maybe Calgary can trade one of their good defencemen….TANEV or Weeger?
