We were too busy manifesting the perfect play in all those PPs that we forgot to play hockey
It’s a POWER Play, not a PERFECT Play.
Well that sucked
👀🍿⏰️
Well that was disappointing.. onto the next one
Ya’ll did they really just lose 4-0 to the fucking Sharks?
[**Trying to make it thru watching the final minutes of that 3rd period**](https://i.imgur.com/sMqsO1Y.jpeg)
Not a good game at all for the Habs tonight.
Fire Burrows.
U wont win when u dont score but allen is doing nothing recently to help his team win
The losses do have to come sooner than later though, with florida stumbling we have a real oppurtunity for two top 12 picks
Am i the only one who preferred it before Matheson came back? i feel like he has caused some issues with the lineup, he isnt good on the PP and the coaches wont stop playing him on it
burrows has gotta go
This game cost me like 9 fantasy points lol. What bullshit.
embarassing
Stop benching Arber. We are losing when he’s not in the lineup.
Hi everyone I’m u/MangoTango4949. Long time lurker, new habs + hockey fan since Montreals amazing 2020 cup run. Yea um quick question: what the fuck was that
Panthers down 3-0 rn
My thoughts on this Tuesday-night-mess:
Suzuki continues to impress, what a fantastic pass to end their first powerplay. Slaf also came out pretty strong in the first (minus a flubbed shot on the PP) and continued that throughout the game. Good to see him continuing to respond well despite being back on the 4th line – took some shifts higher up in the lineup as the game went on, so Marty noticed as well.
Dvorak scoring right as Dadonov takes a penalty (disallowing the goal) is peak Habs, and so is the three puck over glass penalties in 2 periods… and the zero goals on 6 penalties. In fairness, the Sharks are literally the best penalty kill in the league, but still.
Allen actually had a pretty good night, but that momentum swing after the 5 on 3 was brutal. Oh well! The tank rolls on!
The Habs really need to hire a new PP specialist. Oh and now it’s clear that Monty is #1
I wish we go back to the old scheduling format so
1. We play division rivals like Leafs and Bruins 6 times a year
2. Only have to guaranteed lose to the Sharks once a year instead of twice
I wonder if those Sens scouts liked what they saw lmao
The only good thing that happened was energy of monahan anderson slafkovsky line – please let us have it next game, also Monty as a first goalie please
Bring back Monty-B, thank you
Bad all around. MSL facepalm sums up this game perfectly.
This was an off game for some of the big guns, but my God, there are so many total deadweight forwards on this team.
I know Hughes has said he doesn’t think it makes sense to pay to move anybody, but unless Armia really turns things around by the end of this season, we need to just bite that bullet and ship him off to Arizona or Chicago. There is no earthly reason to keep playing him for another two seasons.
Slafkovsky needs to shoot more, but he was really working hard in this game, I appreciated it.
At least the Flames are beating the Panthers 3-0 in the first period. Go Flames!
*BAD*
– In the end it’s the powerplay. So many chances on it and well it’s about as effective as a Magikarp from Pokémon. In fact, the calls for a new powerplay coach aren’t wrong however the personnel also an issue. What is Gallagher doing on the powerplay, Anderson routinely screws up passes and cannot make a pass, Armia has zero points on the year. Anywho, that’s rough… not sure why they pass it around looking for a gimmmie, a point shot with traffic isn’t the end of the world on a 5 on 4.
– Gallagher didn’t play well. It hurt my hands watching him chop at it sometimes. It’s rough, and I will always remember the old Gallagher who literally dragged the team with his effort, but man it’s rough for him right now despite his best efforts.
– Matheson defensive play leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely good with the puck but in his own end it’s an adventure.
– Edmundsun.
– I see no reason why Xhekaj isn’t a regular. There’s literally nothing in his play that has indicated he should sit out.
– Just a general stinker of a game. Hopefully the boys will shake it off!
*GOOD*
– Dach skating is nice plus tough player on the boards. Honestly, he’s a mixture of just everything that makes a player good.
– Slafkovsky looks decent. He’s been good, I do wonder though if it is in the best interest long term to not be getting top minutes. This is absolutely not a KK comparison, Slaf is better now than KK will ever be, but KK also looked decent his first year in MTL. His play deserves a promotion to a different line, but if not, I don’t think leaving him on the fourth with notable offensive powerhouses Jake Evans and Joel Armia is good.
The Habs are now 0-2 this season without Arber Xhekaj, having been outscored 11-2 in those two losses.
Refs gave us every chance to equalize it on pp, but pp was on vacation or somthing
