This game just showed me we need a new defensive coach they can’t stop a damn noise bleed 😐😵💫
Last night to me was a step in the right direction. Sometimes the storm comes before the calm.
1st line in a game that gave up 9 goals those guys were a +4 and scored on the pp as well.
The main line that got victimized last night was Danault's line which all were a -3. We know these guys are solid and have more good games coming.
The main issue is the 3rd and 4rth lines are all mixed up due to injuries. Byfield will be back soon and Iafallo is skating again.
That puts Kaliyev and Grundy back on the 4rth line. Those guys are playing well but keep getting mixed around to fill up the 3rd line.
We know Vilardi can play. Once Byfield is back it slots everyone but Kaliyev in there places. Kaliyev will slot back once Iafallo comes back.
It was a bit dead, but that's pretty common for midweek games, but also the back and forth nature may have kept fans from feeling comfortable cheering loudly, if that makes sense. I think Thurs and Sat are big for different reasons — Thurs the Kings SHOULD tighten up defensively vs the Coyotes, and Carolina poses a challenge in terms of team speed and skill

What an insane game. The goalies continue to be a weakness, but not sure how we can upgrade right now. No quality goalies are available. Durzi is great offensively, but continues to make defensive mistakes. Might be time to try Spence in that position. TMac is now firmly in the hot seat.
As much as I am enjoying the boys in black clad uniform battle for a playoff spot. I feel like we climbed out of the rebuild to soon. I feel like we should have scouted a good goalie when we were in the bottom of the NHL. Now it feels like we're stuck with Quick who by all means lead us to 2 champs. Isn't that great anymore. Peterson I felt never fit in. Now we're going to hope that Phoenix can lead the way. It just feels like we jumped ship to soon. Maybe I'm wrong and I hope I am. But if we get rid of Tod then what good couches are left for us to get?
Well I want to start by saying that 99.9% of the time when an NHL team scores 8 goal you'd expect them to win, this was that .1% where they didn't. I like so many Kings fan are a little disappointed, it's because of what we expected from last seasons successes. Here's what I think the Kings are doing right now, they are playing to the level of their competition. They play a top team they play great, they play a lower team they play poorly. Well, Kings stop it, play your best every night. All teams have NHL quality players that can beat you.
