Just to make clear as others have said, Letang has had a stroke before. He recovered from that one and sounds like he's likely to recover but it is still very scary. I wish he would just retire for the sake of his health, but it's up to him. I don't know exactly what causes them, from what I know it's due to a small hole in his heart. But this is the 2nd one he's endured and as much as he is trying to down play it, it's still scary.
Jack Edwards has made some questionable calls in the past but making fun of Maroon isn’t one of them. Are we really this soft as a society now? Jack also praised him for being a winner. Nobody criticized Charles Barkley for making fun of nba players or mlb broadcasters for making fun of fat pitchers. This seems like something to hate on Jack.
Letang's suffered a lot, not for hockey but his health. Hope he improves well again.

I feel sorry for Kris and his family! I wish him a full recovery and I hope he will take his future health in consideration before rushing any return at all.
I met him once in a private facility few summers ago when he was training in the Montreal Area. He’s a gentleman and a great human being. Bonne chance Kristopher!🙏
Damn. It's heart breaking to hear what had happened to Letang. Even as a Capitals fan, I will never wish anything like to happen to anyone, especially since these Penguins players are literally just doing their jobs, which is kicking our butts.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Letang and the Penguins, and I wish him a speedy recovery.
Shannon this is trivial..This is the thin-skin era..The language including insults that escapes censorship into fans ear shot in a hockey game is a daily occurrence..For them to make a big deal out of this is comical…Soon it will be "Frederic double minor 2:00 minutes for not being nice and 2:00 minute bench minor for the announcer's verbally hurting the opposing players' feelings….lol. I'm fifteen pounds overweight and it didn't offend me..

As a Pens fan Kris Letang is one of my favorite Defenseman of this era & is definitely pretty high up for me in the all time defenseman rank but even still I don’t know if I want to see him play again I have an Uncle who’s been dealing with strokes recently but his have had a way more negative effect on his health compared to what Letang’s have as far as I know but I don’t wish that on anyone & I’d rather see him live a happy & long life with his family then come back to try & add to his career stats & maybe win another cup or 2 it’s not worth it.

I have no idea who the heck Jack Edwards is, but when Maroon was here in Edmonton, his kindness and charity work was well known and appreciated. He was always really good to the fans. Glad he's continuing to be charitable.

I hope someday that as part of the online streaming package we can turn off the audio feed of the commentators and just listen to the rink noises. I mute every single broadcast that doesn't have Keith Jones. Just let me hear the skates, the hits, the crowd. There is no value from most of the words spoken and SO much of it now is in-line ads and betting stuff. Just stop.
I like the Montreal games because I can listen in French, and not speaking French have no idea what they're talking about, but still hear the game.

I think the Edwards joke was lighthearted. Watching the clip it just seemed like Jack was saying he’s a big boy, heavy hitter, rather than a chubby little kid. I get why Pats upset personally, but I really don’t think jack should be getting as much hate as he is in my opinion
