You're right, Legoman. We will never know the real story. I still think that you are giving Benning way too much credit, that he was possibly asking for more management personnel. Benning was enabled to create such a mess because ownership let him. We had to sink to rock bottom in early December for Aquaman to take action and finally listen to a hockey man. I wouldn't trust Benning or Weisbrod to run a bantam team! Worst management in franchise history, and that's saying a lot.

This is just another poor sales job that tries to make Benning look bad. Benning finally got it correct and created a top ten team, the numbers don't lie. It just took long for the team to jell and it cost the coach and manager their jobs. That is reality. I never buy what a salesman is selling, i always let the product sell itself from the value i get from it. The track record of the product makes all the difference in the world. The truth is they are trying to sell the fans on a couple more years of not making the playoffs because the management is about to gut this top ten team and put it back to where it was before the new management took over. Frankly it was Boudreau and his team that really made all the difference in the world and they deserve all the credit, the new management did nothing to improve the team. So here i am just waiting for the inevitable gutting of the team and the mediocrity that will follow. The good news is the longer term plans they talk about are sound and the team will come back to a playoff calibre team if they execute the correct moves. I am waiting to see the results before i buy into any of it. I am too experienced to not see what is going on, but all you media types can just keep on trying to sell me, but it won't work. Show me the results. Truthfully i think the new management has done a very good job thus far, we will see how that translates on the ice, both in Abby and Van next season. Go Canucks Go.
Who likes the locker room when this team shows up half the time to play ..The other half they seem like they just did not show up ..The goalies are the work horses of this team ..Yet new head coach and GM it's there job to make this team competitive
Now this off season it will be interesting to see there vision for this franchise to go in .

I think you are reading that all wrong. Why is Buble an insider? What particular skill set does he bring other than being a fan and a celebrity? I am sure there are plenty of fans that can't hang out with guys…When a celebrity tells me how happy everyone is and they are pal-ing around with the team enough to have insights into hiring and firings…that sounds an awful lot like a country club to me. Buble doesn't see it, because he is exactly a part of the problem…just my thoughts.

This team nearly did the impossible last season, anyone who'd call that room a "country club" is an idiot, and is not paying attention. Your integrity is worth more than the 17 dollars in adsense you made for this video.
