I know we’ve played a lot of games and the wild was rested but my god. Nurse Ceci line was atrocious, they’re probably -4, Campbell was bad again (it’s got to stop), AND our call-ups are arguably our most noticeable players besides McDavid and Draisitl!!!!
If the Oilers ever needed a great performance from Campbell, it was during a back-to-back game when they were tired. Guess what, they didn’t get it. … Between the PK (and its faceoffs), a pathetic line change by Bouchard (on the 4th goal) and Campbell, this team didn’t come close to getting a point out of the game. Campbell is barely treading water. Both Campbell and Skinner seem to be getting scored on “shortside” pretty often. Schwartz? … Oh, I forgot, we non-professional plebes aren’t allowed to criticize goalie coaches.
By time it got to the third the fight in the team seemed gone. Campbell needs to find his game fast. Klim Kostin getting a goal was nice to see. He had some good games since he joined the lineup. It seemed winnable in the first, even though the wild were playing hard.
I was never sold on Campbell, I wanted koskinen to stay and have skinner as his backup but that failed and now we stuck with a bad contract that’s gonna hurt this team like nurses contract. Can’t really blame them tonight, they were up against a team that was backed up by the refs, more then a few calls missed on the wild especially the cross check on Shore and the 2 calls on Janmark were lame.
Actually thought Oilers had a good first half. Campbell lost this game for the Oilers . No the Oilers weren’t great but they had the lead and should have got a point. At this point I might put Campbell on waivers to find his game unless his contract won’t allow it. Good news is Oilers are playing much better these days.
They should place Campbell on waivers and he will likely clear waivers. Then loan him to the Condors, he can have as much time in net as possible in games with the Condors.
My goodness campbell is atrocious. Trade him as a back up. He was going down early on every goal except one tonight. Send him to condors and see if it helps but skinner is our number one. I’ve never been so disappointed in an Edmonton goalie since the oilers entered the nhl. So upset that this guy can’t make atom level saves. I’m done with him. Can we get a refund from Toronto. So pissed
Campbell is overpaid and overvalued, I sure miss Mike Smith….Oilers won’t get far in the playoffs with Campbell, that’s if they make the playoffs. I’d trade him for a draft pick and use the cap space for a D-man and run with Skinner….Campbell’s weak goals deflates the team, this feels Mikko all over again
Tired performance where the stars were tired and bottom 6 not strong enough or getting enough ice time. Kostin scored and I have liked his play. Agree he has earned a spot. Campbell signing has been the opposite of the Hyman acquisition so far. Skinner is the number 1 . Agree if possible send him to Bakersfield and bring up Picard . Habs are next up and hopefully the boys are rested for that one. Keep the faith and the vids rolling.
A bs interference call on Janmark when we were up 2-1 was pretty crucial. Im not gonna look into this game too much. And i dont know why we face the same non division team 3 times in 2 weeks like we do with Minnesota. Cant wait till we get some easy teamsm we havent plated Phoenix, SJ or Anaheim yet. Or much lower seeds in the east either. Please no more Nurse on the PK though. Seriously. Other thought provoker: If you want to string together wins and we are at the point where both goalies are equal share. Why not play the winning goalie from the previous night also like u would if it wasnt back ri back? Imo play the winning goalie till they lose.
And how does Ryan/shore/Kostin outplay our 2nd line? Thats unacceptable. I mean eeriously….sometimes i thing they sre playing Puli to see if he can get some things to show hes good trade bait. We are certainly securing we will have no thought that we didnt give him enough chances. 1 goal. I dont care what they are doing. If you play on the top 2 lines weneed you pushing 7-10 goals by now. Just not producing. Hes one bad losing streak away from getting waived

What do you do if Campbell is bad this season. Do you trade him after signing a huge contract?
Oilers needed a goalie to win them a game. Still waiting for Campbell to get his shit together. Nobodies going to take his contract in a trade

I wish we would have got Georgiev not Campbell. And it would have cost less with a 2 or 3 year not a longer one
I don’t understand why they use this 1A 1B goalie system. They need to ride Skinner big time.
